    And Jansen NOT striking out against whatever "stuff" that caused all those K's is something else. Dude is going to be a consensus Top 50 prospect by the ASB if he's not called up by then.

    After the 1st 2 IP, he looked unhittable. That high 4SM/Slurve/CH combo just devastated hitters.

    No he doesn't. He's just terribad right now, but I expect he'll be better. He's a 2 win player, which is far better than Bautista's 2017. The defence alone makes him way better. That said Teoscar or Alford could be better than that, so I hope, after a decent sample size has amassed, they make the best decision for the team, even, if that means DFAing Morales, making Grichuk the 4th OF, and giving his spot to 1 of Alford/Teoscar.

    He does. But no need to worry. By June, if he still looks like this, Teoscar or Alford will take his place. I'm fairly confident about it.

    I believe the general point they're making is that too much contact is being sacrificed from huge swings by guys who have too much swing and miss in their games. I'm not sure what saber stats could prove this theory, but it definitely passes the eye test.

    Plus preconceived notion of the team's ability. If they're doing well after the 1st month, I'd expect it would be back up again.

    You can get that hot take on FB or Sportsnet. There's nothing interesting about getting more of that on my morning radio show. I would rather intelligent conversation about win projections and why you shouldn't write-off the team in spring training.

    I understand Mayza has options, but so does Barnes, and the latter hasn't looked particularly good this spring. Hopefully Mayza wins the final spot.

    Awesome. Less conservative than I expected, especially with Pearson, who could really fly this season. Imagine if all 3 of them are in AAA by year's end? The fapping would be unreal lol.
