I'm in the same scenario. Wife watches a bit more so trying to figure out the best approach. Might get the basic Bell package for like $21 or something and then just do TSN/Sportsnet separately.

Who have the Leafs developed in net is what I always go back to? Potvin...although not a perennial All-Star by any means, had a few seasons where he was a legit #1 goalie. He was drafted in 1990. Leafs drafted Rask but Fergie couldn't trade him to Boston fast enough...and they developed Reimer...who, although has had a couple of flashes of good play, has essentially been a journeyman guy. Over 30 years since they've drafted, developed, and reaped some benefits of a #1 goalie. It really is quite remarkable.

He's the one that I'm holding out hope for more so than Murray. That said, neither would've been near the top of my list for who I'd like to see steering the ship in net this season.

He wasn't good for sure. Not impressed by that glove hand. I'm commenting more on the 'Leafs were outplayed' narrative. Leafs made sloppy mistakes, the Habs cashed in, and our goalie didn't really do much to bail them out. That's why they lost.

All relievers are failed starters. The trick is to find the failed starter, before they develop into that high end reliever. Yes, that's easier said than done, but that's why Ross is in the GM chair.

I don't think he means they don't like their teammates. I think he's referring to the separate groups hanging around in the dugout, rather than everyone mingling together as a cohesive collective. Maybe I misunderstood though

The risk part is where I'm leery of Atkins. Not sure how much more money Rogers is willing to invest either tbh. Feels like they're already maxed out on payroll for the most part.
