Except the underlying analytics said the Leafs were playing well last year to start the season and were just unlucky. This year they're objectively bad by ever metric. There will be changes coming soon. What those are????

Yes. Otherwise what was the point in bringing him back for this season. If they're still serious about making a run then you have to let your GM work autonomously. If they're gonna handicap him then he should've been let go after last season

If they don't snap out of this soon, I'm not sure they wait too long to can Keefe. There's no 'next year' for this group. Changes may come quick.

They've never had a core with this much talent. Early 90s was not much on paper, but they were greater than the sum of their parts. Early 2000s was Sundin, some veterans past their prime, and a few ordinary guys... But they had balls and played like it. This team has elite offensive talent but won't do what it takes and play like sissies.

Not sure. It's complicated. Keefe has the best winning % of any Leafs coach in it's 100+ year history. Is he the problem? Do you make deals? But if you look at making deals you need the answer to the question 'is Dubas' time coming to an end?' If so, are you comfortable with him being the one to make the deals? He might be forced to just sit there and watch...the next guy will come in and decide what changes need to be made. It's not a good situation. This feels like 2019-2020 when they bumbled around all season and lost to Columbus. Yes...people will say it's early...but it isn't...not for this core. This is the same team, with the same problems for how many seasons now? I'm as big a fan as anyone, but enough is enough. Feels like this could be a sinking ship. They'll have to figure it out on their own cause I'm not sure any help is coming.

Maybe. But their body of work would indicate that this isn't the case... At least not for the duration of the regular season. Come playoffs, the criticism is justified.

Marner and Matthews haven't found their chemistry this season yet. They just don't look like they're on. I will say that Matthews has upped his physicality and defensive play this season another notch. Good to see when he's not scoring he can still be impactful. Marner is just off. Hope they figure it out soon.

I was certain he'd be back, but it is really looking like we've seen the last of him. Very surprising considering all the other pieces of s*** that have been allowed to return to Pro Sports after misdeeds. -
I don't know about that. The East is pretty solid. Getting 47 wins is going to be tough...doable but tough. My gut tells me they fall just short...not cause they're not good, but cause there are a lot of good teams in the East this season.

I don't get the impression that there are a lot of Kirk haters. I do get the feeling that people are concerned about his long term dependability. I think it's a fair concern.
