  1. JD started late. I think he's talking about HOF type guys. JD is great...but I think he's going to decline before he gets to HOF kind of career numbers.
  2. They've generally been a competitive team for most seasons even though they were older...up until recently. And I think we're straying from the original comment, which was todd saying he doesn't want the Jays to turn into what the Yankees are now. If you really look at the state of the Yankees right now, they're going to be shedding a lot of money over the next couple of seasons. Couple that with the Farm System they now have and I think they'll be getting good pretty damn fast. I don't see this as a 5 year rebuild.
  3. Step one. Be an aging team that is on the slide. Step two. Adopt the philosophy that having a strong farm system is important. Step three. Target players that can be moved for good future pieces. Step four. Pull the trigger. Step five. Invest and focus and drafting and signing international talent that is high level. Step six. Be strategic in how you use the farm as assets going forward. It can be argued that the Yankees have the first five steps covered. How they deal with the final one is up to their own philosophy. They did
  4. No farm is proven until they're not in the farm anymore.
  5. The Yankees have a top 3 farm system right now.
  6. No Have Todd do it
  7. Atta boy, Feldman
  8. Why run when you can stand there and wait...
  9. So....who wanted to sign Fielder to a $200M deal? Speak up!!!
  10. He has spoken... http://rlv.zcache.com/the_toddfather_postcard-r28103d2116f14aeaa7312d0b94e11c5d_vgbaq_8byvr_512.jpg
  11. Maybe Gose should be the reverse Tebow and try football.
  12. Is the title of this thread going to be changed to 'GDT: Yesterday's Game' soon?
  13. The fact that he's even mentioned in the same sentence as Altuve is impressive for Travis. What a steal!
  14. Not that I disagree, but if he took starters out earlier wouldn't that blow the pen out even more?
  15. My guess is he gets dealt before the 2017 season starts. They really seem to have fallen out of favour with him.
  16. Why does winning the division have anything to do with how dominant a players' performance over a regular season.
  17. Don't get me started. Some people aren't happy unless they're miserable.
  18. I've said it before, I've said it again...MVP is such an ambiguous term. Everyone seems to have different criteria for what they think it should encapsulate, so how can you really grade it properly. Is it the most dominant player that year...does team success have something to do with it? Personally...I think it should be called, TBP (The Best Player). Forget how the team did. Who had the most dominant statistical season. Period. A dominant player shouldn't be penalized because his team doesn't have what it takes. If you want to award players on great teams then create an award for ensemble cast.
  19. Little girls cry differently than big girls. Guess which one you are?
  20. I can't even read English. What am I supposed to do with Mexican?
