Cause there wasn't any other city bidding that would fit in the Western conference... And they're not gonna move Detroit back there again. Even with Vegas they're still 1 team short in the West if they're looking for balance.

They wanted to be the first major sports team in the market. First one in, wins... Or so the thought is. Vegas is an event town. They're hoping they can package hockey with the existing culture and people will include a hockey game as one of their nights out when visiting the city. I haven't a clue whether it'll be successful or not, but I'm not as opposed to it as I was when I heard Anaheim or Columbus, or Florida... or the rumored Kansas City.

I can't see the Jays re-signing JD. He's gonna get $200M+. No way do I see Rogers committing that kind of money for that many years. Remember the 5 year max rule? I'm still waiting for evidence that it's not still in effect. I want to be wrong about that, but I'm not sure I am. I'll just sit and wait and see what happens though.
