Have the Jays ever had the consensus #1 prospect in baseball? I know Delgado was very highly regarded at one point.

I think he just means that AA brought them into the system.

He is. I loved AA's drafting and IFA play. My only comment was the strength is different today than it was over the past 5-6 years.

Who do you think you're talking to right now? What is it that you think I posted? A guy comments that he sees a shift from more of a pitching based strength to one of position players, and you're knocking me? I am the one who knocks!

Maybe not to that level, but I can see them pumping the brakes on a rebuild and opt for the illusion of competitiveness instead, even if The Shat recommend it.

Not yet. But with every new injury he's getting closer to it.

It's nice to see some exciting position players in the system. It's been a while since we've seen that. Conversely, there aren't nearly as many arms to be excited about since as there were with AA steering the ship. Philosophy shift. Hopefully things balance out and we see a Borucki-esque bounceback (or step forward) from some of our 'supposed' higher end arms (SRF, Harris, Zeuch, Greene) next season.

I actually think they might start them both in A+, pretty much for weather reasons...with a promotion in May (assuming no injuries or performance goes off the rails), but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they start in AA (or at least Vladdy). Bo slowed down quite a bit, but that injury of his may have been a big reason why.

It makes their defensive metrics amazing. The third baseman made a play in shallow right. What range!!!

No. You put your fielders wherever you need to to help get the batter out. If there were designated lines you couldn't cross defensively then that's one thing, but aside from the pitcher and catcher, you can line your D up however you want to...and you absolutely should take advantage of that.
