  1. Nikki Huffman. She's been with the Jays since 2016 as a Physical Therapist.
  2. I don't see them contending even with Donaldson. This isn't basketball where you can ride one or two players. I see aging players. Unathletic players. A decent rotation (with no room for injuries). The prospects are coming, but rookies even when they get here they often take a couple of seasons to adjust and hit their stride. I just don't see what some of your are seeing. I get that you have to field a team... But what I don't want is to be fed a line of s*** (ie. We're looking to contend 2018). You're not going to contend. Be honest and say we're retooling and we're looking to rebuild an athletic roster with the goal to have sustained success. That's what I want to hear, don't tell me patchwork solutions will keep us in the mix for 2018. At least the Leafs were honest and said there would be pain and they're building a program that would lead to prolonged success. I guess I'm just old fashioned in that I like a talented, young core rather than retreads hoping they catch lightning in a bottle.

I thought it was the right call... Based on the rule that is? Now, you can argue that the rule is retarded, but that doesn't mean they didn't call it correctly.
  4. It's also the Blue Jays and things generally don't come easy for us.
  5. Are there people saying he's overrated?
  6. They're not going to blow it up. I just think they should. I guess I'll have to wait and see how 2018 plays out and if Shapiro and Atkins are seeing something that I'm just not seeing. I hope there's something there. I'm not not optimistic.
  7. This core is not good enough and I don't see a way that it's going to get better. Our best prospects aren't ready yet, and even when they are, there are a lot of holes. Patching up the holes with mediocre FA signings isn't the way to build a championship team.
  8. Don't even need surgery. Just say you identify as a female and the world is your oyster.
  9. Todd's breaking this Blue Jays management story wide open. JD has to go while we still have leverage.
  10. Didn't we establish in another thread that it did?
  11. This team is not going to compete in 2018, regardless of where Stroman plays. My only concern is where this team will be in 2021...cause that when I'm hoping their next window opens. I don't see anything realistic happening in Toronto for a few seasons.
  12. I'd move Stro without hesitation, but only for the right package.
  13. No chance Bautista comes back. Everyone has already said their goodbyes.
  14. What's Randy Knorr up to?
  15. I hope he was smart with his signing bonus.
  16. I think he's taking over from Samuel L Jackson and will be playing the title character in M Night Shyamalan's next movie... Glass.
  17. Not sure that Stro will listen to just anyone.
  18. They'd better as f*** communicate that s*** to Stroman beforehand.
  19. I would've preferred that had signed Weaver when we drafted him out of HS.
  20. Cue the Jays in on Cain thread
  21. I'm fine with CarGo if it's a reasonably short term deal and is a deal that can be moved at the deadline for prospects once the Jays are out of it. It's basically an easy way to add a prospect or two. Trading existing prospects to field a lineup shouldn't be an option at this point.
  22. Which is a reason why this team needs to clean house and rebuild. They need to rebuild the core so its young, talented, and controllable. Dealing prospects for Ozuna, Yelich, etc is not the right move. This team needs young t-shirt at all positions. It's too expensive to add via free agency. At this rate, when a $200M payroll isn't going to be anything extraordinary anymore.
