It's not easy because I want my team to do well. But I'm not going to pretend that I see what some others see on this team. I don't see the talent. Could everything come together and they win 100 games? Sure. Lighting could strike. But I don't think that will happen. Yes. I know they don't need to win 100 games...I think they'll be hard pressed to even play .500 -

JD wants to get paid. Here's saying exactly what you expect... 'I'd love to stay here long term', but when the chips are down, he's gonna go to a big market with deep pockets. And I'm not saying the Jays should get into a bidding war with anyone. I'm just saying he's gonna look for a big payday and that isn't going to be here. We'll see in less than a year if I'm right or wrong. ... Assuming he isn't dealt n July when the Jays are out of it. -

It's possible. Although this has been a s*** FA offseason (quality wise). I have every faith that GMs will blow their wads again next offseason. -

Yes and no. He's not blowing smoke because I'm sure that the Jays do have a term and dollar figure that they'd like to sign JD for. He is blowing smoke because I'm sure it's not anywhere near what JD likely would get on the open market. -
I never thought it was a lock. Dunedin makes complete sense. Start their confidence high then move them up to AA in May.

You seem to forget how much effort he built in to having a strong system in Toronto after JPR did nothing for the farm. When they were close, he went full Berzerker. Atlanta isn't close. I don't see him moving prospects until they're already in the post-season discussion.
