I like Biggio and Smith. Like Pearson too. Not bullish on Warmoth, Zeuch, Noda. Though I would like them to prove me wrong. The high schoolers they did draft, I very much like...Bichette, Young, Groshans, Kloffenstein. More of that please.
Hoping for good things from Conine but got a bit of a Woodman vibe with the K's. Won't make any judgements until he gets a full season under his belt next season and see how he adapts.
I'm not going to deny that some of the College picks they've made have worked out nicely thus far...although let's see if they actually translate in Major League players. I just prefer the philosophy of drafting a few more HS players, and working on developing them within the system. It's just what I prefer.
I haven't checked so I really don't know the numbers, but if you look at the Top 50 prospects in baseball, how many of them are College draftees vs. HS players vs. IFA's? Curious if the balance is fairly even or if it skews in any particular direction.
