Similar to the draft philosophy. Lots of College picks. Just doesn't seem like this team likes taking chances on kids until they're 21 or so.

High floor. Low ceiling. The type of players I was hoping we wouldn't get back... But was expecting. Here's the truth. Some people will just never be satisfied with anything that Shatkins does. They don't like the approach, the philosophy, are loyal to AA... Whatever. Then there are others who are choking on Shatkins balls because the dick is so far down their throat. And regardless of what move is made, they will find a way to justify it and look at the bright side. The truth is in the middle. This is probably what we should've expected for Happ. Is not a horrendous deal... But let's be real, Drury and McKinney are not meaningful building block players.

Spanberger is just a guy. C- prospect. Power and not much else as far as I'm concerned. Org guy. Wall is more intriguing. He's has tools... Mind you they haven't translated as much as you'd have hoped, especially given his $2m signing bonus, but the skills are there. Maybe a change of scenery sparks something. He's 22 in AA so he's really not old. B- prospect for me. 15-20 in our ranking I think... With the option to move up quickly should he put it together.

Jays have a history of trading starters to the Yankees that go on to have great success there... Cone, Clemens, Wells. What good returns have we ever gotten? Am I forgetting a meaningful piece that had worked out for us?
