I don't think he really ripped Shatkins that much. More questioned the direction and vision and doesn't like how secretive they always are. The Stroman thing is bang on. He's a s*** show off the field. -

Digging up old s*** on social media is the new black I guess. Seems to be the cool thing to do... Someone dug up some James Gunn tweets from over 10 years ago. I didn't read them but I think it was some rape jokes that he made. Now he's been fired from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. So they're looking for a new director his I guess.

I'm thinking that if we really are seriously pushing for the Yanks, Phillies, or whoever's better prospects we may very well see one of our own prospects going with Happ to sweeten the pot. I can see Biggio or Smith being packaged (selling high) with a Happ for a better prospect coming our way.

If I'm not mistaken he was touching 95 before his TJ. But this is a nice new level of heat. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more K's out of him. If I'm not mistaken his out pitch is his curveball.

Maybe next year... If the Jays finally catch a break and this legal stuff gets resolved somewhat favourably (although these situations are never really favourable for anyone involved). Young, talented, some control left... Sounds like a good potential haul to me. Jays won't need an elite closer for at least a couple of seasons I think... Find one in 2021 or so when they're hopefully back to a serious player again.

I was shocked that Pompey was on the roster at any point this year. I thought after 2016 we'd never see him in a Jays uniform again. But ya, he has no future here...or possibly anywhere really. -
Does this change what the expected return is for Happ? I know one's a position player and one's a pitcher, but I can't see this improving the level of quality that we can expect to get back for Happ.

I think there's virtually 0 chance that Kawhi resigns in Toronto. The smart play would be to plan on what they're gonna use all this extra money on.
