    Not sure he cracks my top 10 yet but somewhere in that 11-15. He's gone from a organizational guy for me, to someone I see having a legit future. I want to see him do it for one more year before I get too excited. Kinda like Jansen last season (he had had a great followup season) or Pompey's meteoric rise a few years back, that he was never able to duplicate.

    He's having a very nice season. The K's are a little high for me, but those walks and power numbers are jizz worthy.

    I'd rather take a couple of 19 year olds as high risk/high reward than two 24 year olds that are high floor and low ceiling.

    I'm taking strictly stat like...I know they're different leagues. Are you ok with a higher walk total but lots of K's or less K's but no free passes.

    As long as the team doesn't try this make shift 'lets get some "analytics darlings" on the cheap deals and provide the illusion of competitive baseball again' for 2019. I want the kids to play...I want to keep adding to the farm...and honestly, Osuna is super young so it's not like he's a vet that you better move before he turns the corner (JD), but if you get your socks knocked off, you move him. A closer really is the last piece you need when building a championship calibre team. An elite closer on a nothing team is a waste. Let's get that starting lineup in order and get a rotation that's young and frightening...then we can scrape together a bullpen and find an elite arm to close.

    Ya. I think that's reasonable. Now...what actually happens? Who knows. But my thoughts are that this is the neighbourhood we should be in.

    While it's true that this is all just speculation and presumptions I'm keeping my expectations low. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. I find that when I allow myself to believe that things will go our way, they often don't. Will be an interesting few days...plus whatever happens before Aug 31st.

    I think that's reasonable...I don't see any way we get three of those types. Either 2 of those, or if you want three bodies, one of those and 2 younger higher risk guys.

    The asking price is dropping seems to be the truth. I'm just curious if the actual return will be what I envisioned it would be all along... Or has a lousy July made an impact on that.

    Strikeouts are nice... But having trouble getting through 5 is a problem. A few more days to wait and then we can dissect what happens or doesn't happen.

    No. It was two B level prospects like I've said from the beginning. We'll see what the actual return is.
