    Dumb and lame Dumb is modernly used to describe lack of intelligence, but it was once used to describe someone who lacked the ability to speak. Similarly, lame is now used to describe someone or something that's boring or unexciting, but was also a term used against those who have limitations of movement in their limbs. Both are highly offensive when describing people in the disability community, but also when used casually, says Cashman. "People now are using lame as a slang, so they go around saying that's lame," she said. "I don't think they really understand what that means .. they just think it's a cool term, but for me, when I hear that, I definitely know what that term means ... it's something I wouldn't say."

    The only way I see Freeman signing in Toronto is if he's got some life long desire of winning a championship in Canada. 1 year deal where he and Vladdy spell each other between 1B and DH. And even that scenario is hard to buy. Would love to see it... But I just don't see it.

    Correa wants big money, Mets just want to spend money, whether it makes sense of not. Feels like there's a financial fit there.

    Why not? He had some quality starts last season. As a long man out of the pen with a spot start here and there, I don't have an issue with him. I do not want him as one of my 5 though.

    It's people with years of PTSD that have memories of this team NOT doing those things to get better. When you've been hurt that many times, it's hard to trust again.
