  1. Xray negative, ligament strain for EE... In other words probably the same thing as what it was before. I'm guessing we probably won't see him tm, and if lucky see him on Monday with discomfort with that funky one hand swing...
  2. At this point we just gotta hope that EE will be good enough to go tm, or if not, minimum by Monday. Doesn't sound good that he went for an xray, i figured it would have been that same injury as before...
  3. Seriously, chill everyone. Are y'all seriously saying you'd rather have cliff frigging pennington...?
  4. We did benefit big time from his horrible defence too however, lol. Glad (for us) that he is still in the process of learning how to play the outfield.
  5. Yeah, after some digging he does indeed have his own brand http://whatproswear.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/jose-bautista-marucci-logo.png I'd actually consider buying that cap he is wearing... But I've no idea where to get them, lol.
  6. Pillar without a doubt has had a great year but I'm reserved still about whether he will be able to continue this form for the next 4-5 years, I'd like to see another year of this caliber from him first before committing long term on him. His style of play also worried me a bit in a long run... He plays incredibly hard and his body took one hell of a beating this year, and one has to wonder that there is only so much that his body can take...
  7. Good to hear that Loup is now back, but I'm wondering whether he'll mentally be all there right now... I'd assume whatever happened would have been pretty serious for him to miss two postseason games...
  8. Does anyone know what cap Jose's wearing? It looks like it is a logo made of "Jb". Does he have his own brand line going or something?
  9. All I ask from him is be patient at the plate to draw a few walks, do the small ball right when asked (that bunt to Beltre was brutal, thank you Andrus lol), and continue to do his deal in 2nd base. Occasional hit would be nice, but overall its the same thing one would ask from most #9 hitters in the league really.
  10. Didn't look intentional to me. I've seen Choo do that stretch out to adjust his elbow pad plenty of times in other games. At the end of the day it's all on Martin, and at least he didn't have to pay dearly for his mistake. I'm sure he'll make sure never to throw the ball back that casually in key situations again.
  11. It seems like guys like Kawasaki, Buehrle and Saunders decided to stick around in the clubhouse for the postseason, while other guys like Travis have been away (but he may be rehabbing or something). You can still be in the bench and the clubhouse even if you don't make the roster; if you look at the 1992 WS stuff you'll see Dave Stieb in the dugout although he was out for the season by August that year.
  12. Yeah, not to excuse the fans' behaviour yesterday or anything, but That was just foolish to bring babies to a rowdy playoff game, especially in the 100 level at that. If they can pay for 100 level playoff tickets I'm sure they can afford a babysitter.
  13. Tepera unfortunatly just doesn't fit anywhere IMO. Then again Buehrle has reverse splits and really isn't the best type of pitcher vs. the lefties... ...how's Francis' splits...? (I can't believe I'm considering him at all but...)
  14. Pillar or Stro IMO.
  15. Which calf was it again? his supporting leg or his landing leg?
  16. It's just awesome how the two kids we were worried about the most going in have performed the best out of the pen, Osuna and Sanchez. With Cecil going down they couldn't pick a better time to regain their form. ...man... still taking it all in the morning after. Partied all night last night and I have to say that was the most emotionally charged and exciting single sports game that I've probably ever seen. Bring on the Royals! I've been waiting for this ever since that game I went to where they cleared the bench. It was destined for this.
  17. This is why Goins needs to stay in... For now.
  18. Important thing is to keep it at 1 run margin. That can be made up on 1 swing anytime and the way the game is going we're going to need that.
  19. Would have bunted earlier on, not there... But at least we know of Beltre now, looks fine enough.
  20. Only 1-0. Nothing to fret about. Lets just get the momentum right back with some runners on.
  21. For him to miss something of this scale, it would have to be an issue of a very huge proportions and likely a pretty serious one. And likely not pleasant. In which case we will never likely find out further details about it and nor should we dig any further than that.
  22. I think someone said that there was also an ideal temperature range in which they like to operate the retractable roof and that these current temperatures fall under that or something. Perhaps the Skydome people should have sabotaged it over the weekend so that the roof is "broken" while it is in its open state, then the MLB wouldn't have any choice in the matter, lol. I still think it's silly how MLB gets control of OUR roof all of a sudden just because its the playoffs (although I actually don't believe there to be a huge difference in play with roof open/closed).
  23. Would need to try to bunt it a bit deeper into third baseline obviously. And even if it's Hamels who fields it (and I have a feeling he'll be instructed to take charge of all bunts on that side if at all possible), he'll still have to do a turning throw and will have to do well to throw our speedier guys out. If lucky, he may even throw it away to give us an extra base. Even if he successfully throws him out, IMO it can't hurt to put some pressure on the pitcher in making him field them. The main thing here is to see/test how good Beltre looks reacting to those balls there. If he's stationary and relatively immobile we'll at least know that he's not all that comfortable up there at all and we can play along in the game with that in mind, and exposing him when necessary.
  24. Apparently Revere did a lot of bunt practice before game 4 and coaching staff encouraged him to use it. Got things started nicely for us with that bunt up the 2B that game so I'm hoping that he could try one along third today. Of course we can't have guys like JD and such bunting up there or waste more than maybe one or two at bats on bunts overall but guys like Revere and maybe Goins (who's been struggling at the plate) I think should try a few. If anything we can do it just to get Beltre to charge in on couple of those even if it goes foul and such, especially early on in the game when he's not fully stretched out yet.
