    As a former agency recruiter I can tell you that couldn't be further from the truth. Especially in entry level and middle management jobs (necessary experience for Director and C level Executive positions), it's minority females who get the best response. Companies are eager to show how diverse they are.

    So it's not a race issue, it's a defence team issue is what you're saying. Income has nothing to do with race or gender and everything to do with choices. I'm a white man and no one is dropping buckets of money into my bank account, I had to work for it and make smart choices along the way. I worked as an agency recruiter for a long time and employers went out of their way to hire minorities, often over white candidates with the same qualifications because they wanted to show diversity. That's minority privilege if you ask me but no one is up in arms over that. It's just a cop out. Don't play stupid games and you won't win stupid prizes. Make smart choices and work hard and you'll make a good living. Simple as that.

    No one said racism doesn't exist. But it isn't institutionalized (name me a specific institution that's systemically racist and give me examples of this behavior and I will fight them alongside you, but you probably can't). It's easier to blame racism or ageism or sexism or any other ism rather than your own shortcomings. This villifying of white people is just as racist as the behavior you claim to hate.

    Ugh, white privilege is such a myth. Minorities have way more privilege than white people, and especially in America the vast majority of the 1% are Asian. So I guess they should check their Asian privilege. Anything white and masculine these days is considered a bad thing. So sick of it.

    I'm almost certain Jays3891 is trolling, but there is absolutely no racism in this thread except from people crying racism because being black apparently exempts you from criticism if you act like a douche. Don't criticize them or else you're a racist. When someone's perception doesn't line up with reality, it's not reality that needs to change. Reality is Marcus Stroman is an obnoxious, terrific douchebag who happens to be black. Let me think of the whitest human being that has ever played for the Jays. Colby Rasmus? Kelly Gruber? Adam Lind? If one of those guys acted as obnoxious as Marcus Stroman, I would start a thread called "Adam Lind is a terrific douchebag thread" and not one single person would complain that it's because he's white. The only ones bringing race into this are trolls and people looking for any reason to be offended.

    Call me crazy but I prefer not to be utterly embarrassed by the behavior of players on the team I love. Whether he likes it or not, when he's in the public sphere, and that includes social media, he represents the Toronto Blue Jays, so he should stop being such a little bitch and man up.
