  1. Still don't understand how in Lucifer's stifling hot ******* Zimmer has a spot on a major league roster and Montoyo had him in the middle of the order the other day.
  2. Bo Bichette is a baseball player who knows how to play the game of baseball. He plays professionally for the Toronto Blue Jays.
  3. Lol thanks Valdez, base runner and maybe forced him out of the lineup too
  4. Bo and Gurriel should switch places in the batting order at this point.
  5. Zimmer is in the lineup for his "defence"...they could throw any warm body out there that's ever played baseball at a professional level and do the same thing, and I'd guess they'd get more hits than this chooch and his giant face.
  6. I like this signing a lot, sorely needed win for Shatkins. But, hope they are still pursuing another tier 3-4 pitcher. Roark is a decent 3-4 spot pitcher but we need a strong #2 behind Ryu or even a #1 in front of Ryu before this team is back to playoff contention. I don't feel like Price is the right guy any more, he's really struggled in Boston. But it's clear whoever it is will have to come via trade. Anyway, this is encouraging because obviously they feel like they are close to contention. The Yankees are going to be back to being ridiculous again with the lineup and staff they've got but the wildcard is definitely within reach. Maybe they can see how they're doing and make a trade around the deadline if they're within reach, and if not then next winter they can make a big splash or two and really get us there.
  7. Stroman getting touched up
  8. Since when does wanting to be here count for anything when it comes to someone's character? Who cares? Toronto is a world class city. Canadians have this thing where we're always so impressed that someone would actually want to he here. He used that insecurity as a public relations tool and he knew exactly what he was doing. Frankly it's insulting when you think about it.
  9. Meaning he's not the ace he thinks he is. He's a 3-4 starter on an average team, a 4-5 on a good one. The fact race has been brought into this is pathetic. If he was white and acting like an annoying bitch we'd all be saying the same thing. If anyone looks up to this clown in the locker room, God help them. He's not someone to look up to. He's the kind of guy you just agree with wtfever he's saying so he shuts up and leaves you alone, but it's happened for so long that he's fully bought into his own ********. DeGrom is a leader. Don't act like a child and be a professional and no one will bother you. Post all over social media about how great you think you are and how the world is somehow conspiring against you because you're black and no one is gonna like you. Who remembers his effing rap video? Guy should be embarrassed. I don't think I've ever hated anyone on my own team as much as this guy, soooo glad he's gone and I hope he gets drilled with fastball after fastball every time he hits.
  10. List of players I've hated on the Jays the last decade: - JP Arencibia - Brett Lawrie - Marcus Stroman By my count that's 2 white guys and 1 black guy. I'm a total racist.
  11. It makes me so happy to hear he's unhappy with the trade. Guy is the most entitled piece of s*** I can remember being on this team. Of course he wanted the Yankees because he is a "winner" despite having never won anything in his big league career. No Cy Young, no World Series, barely even deserved a rotation spot last season but he is entitled to play for a contender because he's Marcus Stroman. The Mets are just the ultimate twist of the knife. You got your wish, you're going to New York. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out.
  12. Wally Backman plz and thx
  13. Jansen hasn't done anything in MLB yet. There's been plenty of hype around MiLB players before that didn't pan out in MLB. Travis D'Arnaud for example. I wouldn't be too quick to trade Maile yet.
  14. There's always going to be teams willing to take on guys with character issues. For a long time it was the Blue Jays (that's how we ended up with Lawrie, JP, Stroman, Hillenbrand, etc because JP Ricciardi decided that since free agents and good players "didn't want to play in Canada" he would trade for a bunch of misfits and hope to moneyball his way to relevance). Right now we've got the Orioles who were thinking of drafting or signing a child molester. Bottom line, someone will pay for Osuna. His price has gone down for sure by virtue of not playing all year and his uncertain future but he's still the young and is one of the most dominant closers in baseball. I can definitely see him being moved.
  15. Stroman talked a big game all winter but came up short.
  16. That pregame blackout wouldn't of slowed her down either.
  17. Fletcher was great lol. "Here comes the hammmmer, here comes the hammmmer" and Doc strikes a guy out with a curve right on cue. What made it annoying was Jamie Campbell trying to shut him up all game. I dunno who did commentary back in the early 90s on Labbatt Blue Jays Baseball on TSN but whoever it was, I don't remember him sucking like Buck and Tabler. Buck is just a weird, drunk uncle who corners you at family functions and does a weird breathy beer laugh. Tabler just has straight up run out of things to say so he fills the silence with nonsense, and if you watch him over a 3 or 4 game series, he says the same s*** every single game. I really don't know of a better option though. I mean as much as we complain about Buck and Tabby, after listening to Harold Reynolds in the playoffs, I can at least tolerate them some of the time.
  18. I had my wife all willing to watch the Montreal games, flipped the TV on, the first thing she said was "hell no, I can't listen to Buck and Tabby all night".
  19. This isn't racist but if I was a cop I would taze Stroman in the nuts
  20. Of course I agree with you. The point is white people don't have any advantage when applying for jobs. If anything the opposite is true.
  21. That is true, sales positions are an exception. I think that probably has to do with communication skills (native English speakers are better at sales when dealing primarily with English speaking communities obviously). I don't think that has much to do with race other than language skills which no one can really do anything about. Either you speak the language well or you don't.
