  1. I don't know if I can really say they choked. Atlanta's just a better team and caught up with them over a period of time. Mets are having a fantastic season. One of those two very good teams was going to have to play in the wild card just like the NL West last year. That's baseball.
  2. Really don't like the pitching matchups for this Baltimore series, I think people are underestimating how difficult this series might be. Baltimore can afford to throw everything they have left at us. And if they can f*** us even a little bit they'll be happy to.
  3. Kelenic is 2 years away from being 2 years away.
  4. Did you guys know that the Mariners made the postseason? In case you ever forget just watch a Mariners broadcast, they'll remind you about 12 times per inning.
  5. Manoah will not be pitching game 162 because the Blue Jays are not insane.
  6. The Brewers are doing everything they can to not make the playoffs.
  7. Whitt has clearly adjusted to his new situation.
  8. When Teo's on, he carries this team.
  9. I love live player interviews...said no one f***ing ever.
  10. At least Teo has been looking like Teo again
  11. One thing about Gausman, dude just gives up a lot of hits for whatever reason. Been a problem all season long.
  12. They are three back, and it's probably enough to avoid them. Seattle is the bigger concern. I didn't expect the A's to offer any resistance and they aren't. We need Detroit to do something. The series in Baltimore is a concern because we have our most inconsistent starter and then two bullpen games with a lot of White and Kikuchi. Not a good situation. Even tomorrow's game with Boston should be more competitive with Wacha.
  13. It's hard to know how much having each other benefits both of them. How many catchers of their caliber get to enjoy split playing time behind the plate? Keeps them both relatively fresh.
  14. 119-52 in runs if my math is correct.
  15. Anybody have the head-to-head numbers with Boston this year? They got to be real real ugly for the Red Sox.
  16. Would be nice if Seattle would give us some margin for error, but nice clean win today!
  17. We cannot sacrifice Manoah just to get home advantage no matter how much we want it. We've got to play a good series against Boston and pray against Baltimore LOL.
  18. On the one hand, Pearson is such an unknown. Even when he's been healthy, he's up and down and there isn't enough time to really take a look at him this year. On the other hand, if our pen is on fumes and we need some real gas, it's nice to have that arm to go to and take your chances with. Besides, if he's ever going to be a key contributor to this team, you need to throw him into these situations. But who would he replace? Pop? I guess, but Pop is good when we need ground balls or to keep dangerous hitters in the ball park. I won't blame Jays management either way on the Pearson decision.
  19. Okay, I think that's enough for me. I don't see any way out of this mess with the top of the order against a garbage pitcher. Maybe tomorrow (or later today I guess).
  20. Here we go again.
  21. Will the commissioners run be enough? Am I being greedy to hope for a second?
  22. Yeah but it's only a matter of time before they start stringing some together. Especially at home.
  23. It truly is remarkable that the Mariners final 6 series are against the 5 worst teams in the AL. f***.
  24. Rangers grab the lead.
