    I mean, another year of regression/injuries for springer, Vlad being similar to last year, Turner old, Schneider is a nobody, and steady abs for Espinal/ikf/biggio. would it be that surprising we end up having at least a below average offense

    The prospect of watching a slightly worse offensive team next year has me queasy. What a disaster free agency class this has turned out to be.

    This is all true but it still sucks, the team was pretty unwatchable in terms of offense last year and there is a significant possibility that they either end up the same or slightly worse and that doesn't sound fun at all. Having said that, the free agency class truly is bleak and you cant beat them up to much for not making big splashes now, Bellinger is big time scary and Chapman was a zero with the bat 90% of the season last year anyway.

    Bellinger is so scary but it feels like we have no other move to make at this point, we can't trade our depleted farm system. They need to pay for FA's and go for it now.
