    My personal opinion is that Vladdy can't be the only "Star" position player on the team. When he has a running mate, I think he performs better. Vladdy came up with a great eye at the plate and allowed the game and pitchers to come to him. When he feels like he has to do everything, he expands his strike zone and starts to swing at everything. Which means he is all out of whack and doesn't make good contact. But when he has a buddy he believes is a star performer, he is more cautious at the plate and lets the game come to him.
