I know but he's wrong, you don't play through a shoulder injury like he has. You can try but it's not smart, perhaps we're just desperate enough this year to do these things.

Bautista shouldn't be playing if he's still injured. He's gonna wreck his shoulder.

I doubt Gibbons will use Castro in the same way he has been. He might still be closer but I bet he doesn't bring him in to try and inherit runners again.

The close game losses have got to stop, it's getting ridiculous. Not many teams are going to make the post-season losing so many 1-run games. Edwin's in a funk but if recent history has anything to say about it he'll snap out of it and then some. Bautista is still putting up pretty good offense despite the poor BA. No-brainer. I'm still glad they did and I'm not thinking about the distant future at all. Unanimously agree. Agreed, on the bright side he should regress to career normal levels eventually. I imagine having to learn all these new pitchers is pressure enough. That's what I'm mostly attributing the rough start to. I also think it's possible catching Dickey is/was throwing his framing off (lingering effects).

Yeah. I'm not complaining though, after the rough start he's been great at everything else.

Also Russell's framing has been trash... well he's been dead even... 0 extra strikes in 901 chances. I'm sure he'll come around but he hasn't looked good in that area so far. But it stands out more after watching Rene Rivera who's just sensational at framing.

f***ing home plate umps make my blood boil. If the catcher doesn't catch it cleanly they just derp out.

On the bright side Norris looked great today and he was facing 9 righties! The Rays are not a push-over offensively anymore either... possibly above average offense.

It's entirely possible our SP can cut it (considering our offense). But our bullpen is a mess.

Same. Not in love with Pillar... I just hope they make the right choice and move Pillar to 4th OF and not Pompey...
