  1. Shaun Marcum pitching for the Indians 2m
  2. People who keep saying "were only 4-5 out" only 1.5 months into the season sound like Homers/Wilners. Being 4.5 out already is pretty bad. Esp when you're a team with the shakiest pitching in baseball.
  3. Runs Scored - 212 Runs Against - 199 18-23 2-7 in 1-run games. 12-20 vs RHP 6-3 vs LHP This f***ing team will drive me to drink.
  4. Only strike called is down the middle ... f***ing umps!
  5. It's funny because Donaldson is the only reason were in this game
  6. Someone's gotta tell Colabello to stop sitting around with his mouth open... he looks like a drunken fool.
  7. Totally. Love the part where he talks about Tepera throwing strikes. Sanchez?????? Hello, hellooooo........anybody home?? Think McFLY!...... Think!!!!!!!!!
  8. I get the impression you don't think that's significant. Personally I think every bit counts when you're dealing with major league hitters... a lot of good pitchers become average or worse when they lose velocity. It's hard to debate the significance of KB velocity. Maybe it has more to do with his inability to throw strikes now, and maybe that has something to do with his velocity loss, I don't know but there's a correlation.
  9. Seems to me there's a good correlation between Dickey's performance and ability to throw a faster KN (max vel): Year Team Vel xFIP 2010 Mets 83 3.75 2011 Mets 82.9 3.95 2012 Mets 83 3.27 2013 Jays 81.6 4.23 2014 Jays 81.2 4.14 2015 Jays 80.1 5.19 Walk rates might have a lot to do with it too though. I don't think you can blame PF that much here.
  10. Disagree on Dickey and Buehrle. Both are older and throwing slower than ever, hitters are taking advantage of the reduced velocity. I expect these guys to be worse than last year to some degree. Sanchez is pitching over his head. It's only a matter of time until he gets hammered. Estrada is capable of being an average major league starter (though maybe not in our ballpark with his HR rate). Agree on Hutch though, he should be better than this. And the pen might be fine.
  11. That's true and even gives some credence to Redmond being on the roster... but again, I'm not even getting into that... debating about what kind of s*** you want to eat for breakfast.
  12. How can it be though? The offense is already the best in baseball and the pitching is not going to suddenly get all motivated and start pitching better. Sadly this can make no difference.
  13. I wasn't debating his collective work though, I was commenting on jaysfan2014 saying he didn't pitch well enough in one start to deserve to stay. Whether he actually deserves to be on the major league roster is another thing all together, I'm not even getting into that.
  14. Please. To say he "didn't pitch well enough to deserve to stay" is stupid. It's one start and one bad inning. Nobody should be judged off one start. There's no place in baseball for evaluating a player based off one start.
  15. This is the first I've heard about JPA not being horrible.
  16. I doubt Sanchez was ever higher, it's just something they have to say.
  17. Yeah, and I was pointing out his BABIP. Tigers are in for a world of hurt. I can't believe he's held on to a .500 BABIP for this long. It's annoying that he's performing this well when we all know he's s*** offensively.
