  1. Why not just admit you don't fully know what kind of hitter he will be. I expect he'll outperform his projections which mark him as average. His K and BB rates look pretty stable but the power numbers are inflated even after this slump.
  2. So Devon Travis will hit 35+ HR? That's great news. Thanks!
  3. Reddick also playing out of his mind.
  4. Both those guys have had ace-caliber seasons before this one.
  5. Buehrle has lost even more velo. We're going to get hammered tonight.
  6. Just for kicks rolling with him in a small tournament. Hoping for many K's!!
  7. Yeah. He's not a true ace, but he's playing the part this year. People are getting hung up over the word ace. The point is most of the teams have that blockbuster guy, only a few don't.
  8. Ubaldo looks like an ace this year and his stats reflect that, he's had ace-like seasons before.
  9. I guess Carrera is our second best hitter since he's batting first?
  10. Call me crazy but I'm not willing to give a guy with less than one season under his belt "ace" status.
  11. They have an ace in their possession, obviously he's not actively pitching. Don't be stupid.
  12. Teams in the AL with an "ace": Mariners - Hernandez White Sox - Sale Indians - Kluber Tigers - Price Yankees - Pineda / Tanaka (DL) Angels - Richards Astros - Keuchel Athletics - Kazmir / Gray (sort of) Orioles - Jimenez Rangers - Darvish (DL) Rays - Archer Teams in the AL without an "ace": Blue Jays Twins Red Sox Royals
  13. This season is a wash. The SP is garbage. What a waste of a great offense and good defense.
  14. PF 2B as L - 117 2B as R - 113 HR as L - 90 HR as R - 102
  15. I heard some gibberish about him deciding to throw a "slower" KB at the start of the season... and that he was going to walk less guys and throw more strikes... as a result he now has the highest BB rate of his career as a knuckleballer. It seems he should be doing the opposite (not that it's possible anymore) but his lower BB rates correlate with his faster KB.
  16. More importantly, his KB top velocity... he's lost 3 mph on it since his days with the Mets. Things aren't going to get any better, likely they'll get worse.
  17. Giants will probably turn him back into an effective starter...
  18. I don't mind keeping umps just as long as they get an electric shock every time they make a bad call.
  19. Tied for 17th in offensive projections in the majors. They also play in the most extreme pitchers park in the AL. They should be about average.
