  1. Hmm interesting. I want to check RJ's stats now. Well I hope he can bring it down as time goes by. Of note RJ had a 10+ K/9 and a babip of 0.280. He actualy had two 6+ BB/9 seasons. His career BB/9 was 3.26 though.
  2. Exactly and in reality...he's been kind of bad! Both statements are correct.
  3. Whoa I'm a fan of Sanchez and hope he succeeds for us. But I have to state that did not help your argument. Every one of those pitchers BB/9 has a 4 in front of it. That's a 7 in front of his. That's abnormal and needs to come back to 3.5-4 or ideally much less, if he is going to be a decent starter
  4. I don't think he's terrible. I don't think he will last as a starter if his walk rate stays where it is either
  5. Nope Team Wins and a Team shut-out. It's kind of what a baseball team tries to accomplish every game they play. That being said, I will give some credit to the pitcher who threw 7+ of those shut out innings.
  6. Concede a W, concede a shut-out. These are facts that you cannot find peripheral stats to deny.
  7. Game 29 - Sabathia (LHP) Travis (2pts) - vdub Donaldson (1pt) - Bautista (1pt) - Edwin (2pts) - GD, frenchsoup Martin (2pts) - Deadpool Smoak (3pts) - Saunders (5pts) - Pillar (5pts) - jays4life19, Candy Maldonado Valencia (6pts) - Atothe Goins (7pts) - Diaz (6pts) - Carrera (7pts) - Collabello (5pts) - Jonn, o2, Nafro
  8. Ugh sigh....I'm not a fan of carpet...down stairs. . "We are cursed" says the Leafs fan. We aren't cursed, we were spoiled in the 80's and early 90's. Seattle has never even won the World Series or played in it for that matter. Ask Chicago "Bartman" Cubs fans about cursed. It's kind of stupid to have million dollar athletes go up and down slippery cement steps 20-30 times/game 162 games/season with spikes on. Seems to me like a recipe for disaster. Ask Mo Vaughn about dugout stairs.
  9. Like all young prospects he is struggling to find an identity. In all seriousness, any chance it's Smoral? Does anyone have a Matt Smoral update?
  10. Okay this may seem like a ridiculous thought and question. Are baseball stadiums dugout stairs still mostly aluminum? Anybody who has ever tried to walk on aluminum with spikes knows its kind of like skating (with the wrong foot wear) Would it not make sense with all the money invested in these ball player's, to either change the access to the dugouts? (Raise them up so they are right at field level and put higher screening in front). This would eliminate the steps so there is zero chance of accident. Or at the very least put a composite coating on the steps, so they are not as slippery. (Though that leaves the potential to "catch a spike" going in and out still) I count approximately 3-4 million dollars in lost player time the last two years. That would easily cover the cost of a renovation to all our stadiums. I'm sure over the years there has also been minor league players you never even hear about injured. Is this a crazy thought? You have one set of stairs up from the clubhouse and the dugout is level with the field. You would extend the covering and add higher invisible fencing to the front to avoid being hit by a foul ball. Access to the fields is at each end of dugout. The players use the stairs twice a ball game with a railing through a narrow entrance from the clubhouse. This stops the potential for injury 16-18 times (plus all the other times in warmups) skating up and down stairs, with no railing. Of note you may have to stop calling it a dugout. The last sentence was the only sarcasm of this post.
  11. Does anyone else feel like this team has a beer league softball team feel? We have 3 first baseman on the active roster. Two of the four outfielders are injured. A back-up infielder hurt his knee falling down the steps Monday. (He was not drunk). We are expecting to win games 10-9. We keep shuffling old guys and our friends (Canadians) on the roster, while moving out young pitching with potential.
  12. I don't think Colabello was even on the roster. I believe he was added and Jayson Aquino was DFA'd.
  13. I guess my problem is, as of right now it appears that Matt West was DFA'd to add Andrew Albers to the roster, eat 2 and 2/3 garbage innings and than be sent back down.
  14. He walked 10...no he's pitched reasonably well. He's still in the game at least.
  15. Mmmmm, chicken bones. My mom told me she gave me chicken bones, because she loved me most!

  17. I could not agree more! This last week has made me want to throw up. I change my vote from NO to YES.
  18. West was DFA'd. You can maybe see him do well in another org. Interestingly Rotoworld is reporting West has not pitched this year. I hope every other team thinks that and no one puts a claim in.
  19. Wasn't there a time when we used to travel to get away from technology? Ugh damn you Kipnis!
  20. 22. I don't know if its allowed but I'm changing my pick from Saunders to Valencia, since Saunders is out of lineup.

  24. Well I can eliminate the winner of the name the Skydome contest for you. The winner of those tickets was the wife of a manager from National Bank. My buddy worked for National Bank and we sat in the seats for an opening day in 2001 or 2002. The seats are front row right behind home plate in the 200 level. There is a pair of them, unless they have moved them, which I would doubt. The only condition of using the seats, is to not speak with the media!??! I may have just technically broke that condition. He doesn't work for National Bank anymore.
