If he is going to provide 90% troll content and not get banned then all you can do is block. This sites moderation is too lenient sometimes (I appreciate the s*** out of what you do, I just think you make it harder on yourselves trying to appease the mushy middle). This is not a society site or a warm and fuzzy fuzzy site. It's a baseball discussion board...s***...I have posted some (maybe drunken?) stuff on this site that I expected a warning for the next day. I think a big part of the challenge to get more posters is deciding what type content you want to control. Spammers- delete forever. Trolls with no context that go after a known poster - delete forever Poster that context and discussion doesn't equal a rational baseball discussion- delete forever

I hadn't really paid attention to the type or content of the general posting populace of the site before but I am noticing there is very minimal comments on performance as a generality. Like everything is only analysed in a microcosm...or event based. Ad a fan in a game day topic I don't care if bro is struggling at the plate. The event in the game is a microcosm that stands alone for that moment the player does something well. Enjoy the spectacle and comment on the singular action as a singular action. Maybe one of their favorite moments years after they have left the sport will be going back and reading the moment they did something amazing and that players fans CHEERED them on and made them feel proud.

Watching the recorded game now. Love the outfield earthquake cam... Don't mind the Rays announcers. At least they know a bit about the Jays and their prospects. The Phillies guys were pretty good too but that is probably due the the Jays-Phillies playing so much in Spring training. Yankees announcers are hands-down the worst.

It's going to be awesome to watch the Spring Breakout game next Saturday on Sportsnet. 1st chance to see Arjun Nimmala in a game situation for me. Hoping Berriera and Macko see an inning or two as well.

I think the majority of legit new posters would be people who have been guests for a while and want to join the conversations. The spam bot posts along with the posters who are mostly just trolling or trying to egg fellow posters on to get a reaction would be the reasons new posters would not join. Reading a thread and seeing page after page of posters just going after each other and not talking baseball is what keeps me from posting more. (not that anyone minds I am sure...lol)

I honestly cannot imagine Atkins in any situation being anything buy corporate Atkins. Even banging his wife with only his shirt and tie on he would be talking to her about expected outcomes and probability. Afterwards he would be going on about communication opportunities going forward and be analyzing possible gaps in areas of development that can be scrutinized. No matter what, his wife is left watching porn and trying to rub one out 99% of the time after he has left the room.

Disappointed he won simply because he needs to learn some humility and focus on getting in better shape and listen to his coaches. (and STOP with the f***ing ice baths!)

I don't have a horse in this race but what the f*** is this "Cy young 'type' season"? He got some votes, but Manoah was not and should not have ever been considered a Cy young candidate. The voters bought in on some of the hype but the analytics just don't stand up. He came in last year with a lot of bluster and attitude and got his s*** pushed in by the new rules, an appalling lack of conditioning and major league batting that adjusted to his stuff. Definitely feel like this a big "message sent" from the Jays front office. With rumours of him not wanting to follow the Jays coaching staff's recommendations on his swing correction along with bad base running decisions and just a general "you are not on the same page as the players we are bringing in" it really feels like the FO is saying "put up or shut up" for this next year. They are pretty much saying "you are not the player you think you are" to Vladdy while they still control his rights.
