  1. WTF would you do that? because you're a tard?
  2. That's a really good explanation - thanks man. I'm really gratefully to have found this forum. I wonder if we'll ever see a day where a manager purposely matches up a fly ball pitcher vs. a fly ball hitter (say Chris Carter) out of the bullpen
  3. Sorry I asked in the wrong thread. Is it the same for hitters? LD% isn't talent-based, just luck? that seems nuts.
  4. I asked this before, but nobody answered (wtf). You're saying LD% isn't talent-based because it doesn't correlate year-to-year and is subjective. It would certainly seem as though GB% and FB% are talent-based (fly ball and groundball pitchers) and those numbers do tend to correlate year-to-year....Does LD% simply get the shaft because it's more subjective than the other 2?
  5. Wouldn't the reason be to escape the bloody abyss that is the Toronto Blue Jays to join a contending club and chase the dream of winning a World Series?
  6. You guys are smarter than me. You're saying a pitcher has no control over what LD% he allows? It certainly appears some pitchers have control over their GB% and FB% (ie, groundball and fly ball pitcher) - why is it they can control that, but not LD%? Learn me wise ones.
  7. That rotation is turrrible
  8. Unfortunately, this is true. The vast majority of the public is stupid and thus doesn't realise the SN guys are dum dums. The people who really follow baseball simply can't listen to pre-game shows or whatever these days because it makes you want to puke.
  9. I like where this is going Ang - could make a lot of sense too as the Cards need a bat at 1st. I hope you're the MLB trade whisperer.
  10. I would fully support this. I have loved watching E5 over the years, but he's a logical guy to move now.
  11. Christ I'm just joking around man. Needless to say, small sample size or not, it's pretty pathetic to see a 3rd baseman ranked above you. Perhaps he could lay off the burrito's, watch some video and actually work hard for a change. Stop defending this loser.
  12. That's the point. I wouldn't expect a 3rd baseman who caught 3 games to be better at framing than Navarro - a fulltime catcher. Duh. LOL
  13. When there are 3rd basemen ranked above you - you're one of the worst. Case closed. BTW, it is interesting to see Sal Perez at #96. I also revert back to my point that with some film room review and hard work, Iannetta went from #120 to top 10 in a single offseason.
  14. ummmm.....Josh Donaldson is #90, so I think we can conclude Navarro is awful at framing. AWFUL
  15. speaking of the Dodgers - Alex Guerrero has really cooled off and how on earth is Kershaw not already in the AS game? dum
  16. C'mon, the Brewers have been one of the best teams in that league for the better part of the last decade. They're getting a little long in the tooth though.
  17. It was? I thought it was very accurate. He needs to get to the point in fewer paragraphs to keep my attention.
  18. Did you miss the Vernon Wells deal? Travis for Gose? His drafting? Who do you think is the best GM in baseball? I have little doubt you'll be able to dissect their "work" and come up with plenty of faults. Get off your high horse.
  19. That's amazing. I have a bunch of friends who play in the NCBL for the Nepean Brewers.
  20. A White Sox reporter was on with Bobcat yesterday talking about potential Shark deals and was talking about how Eaton and Melky have been busts in LF/CF, but how Avisail Garcia has been good. It made me laugh. -0.6 WAR on the year....in Chicago - that's "good". Nobody corrected him and then they started talking about the possibility of Chris Sale being dealt. That's when I changed the station.
  21. I think you missed the question.
  22. Anyone else notice former Jay Balbino Fuenmayor - who was always awful with the Jays is now chasing the triple crown in AA? Yeah he's old for that league, but that's quite the turn around for someone who's been tuuurbile his entire career.
  23. I image Smoak motioned to Gibby in the dugout today and said FYSMC - Navarro is POS you stupid hick
  24. encouraging to see Smoak is still alive.
  25. For awhile there - he was always considered to be one of the best in the game. It seems that has wore off and everyone loves Joe Maddon and Showalter now. I don't follow the Angels much - is he an old school guy who doesn't accept advance statistics and thus has fallen behind the times?
