  1. The movie was Kazaam and it stared Shaq - not Sinbad
  2. Stories on Goose Gossage remind me of when people quote or respond to the Dogg...don't give that f*** face any attention.
  3. I hate Rich Gossage. He makes a bunch of assumptions on 1 inning, 3 run league saves that both he and Mo recorded....then tells the guy interviewing him to go look it up because he obviously made the statement without having any idea what the facts were. I have no time for people like that.
  4. yikes - get him some of Rube Baker's playboys!
  5. I know we talked Capps a few days ago, but I really enjoyed this article and thought I would share. I swear I could watch the GIF of him throwing for a hour without getting bored. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/carter-capps-delivery-is-new-still-basically-against-the-rules/ He actually has a new delivery this year FWIW.
  6. With self check ins now it's even less likely anyone would notice...
  7. I got tickets to the April 29th game vs. TB. 200 level in LF, row 6 or something. I also got a pair for Canada day in section 509 and another pair in 237 (non-drinking). It was nice that for Saturday games, you can choose Jr. Jays tickets in the 200 OF or 500 level for half price. I think my 500 level Canada day tickets cost $45 total. The seats kinda of suck, but I like taking my son down to the Canada Day game for his birthday. I have to admit - most the weekend games I tried to get tickets for all had utter s*** for seats left. I was pretty disappointed.
  8. Well the first thing I'd be asking is if they'd be willing to start the year in AAA...
  9. Latos is at the top of the douch-o-meter. Right next to Lawrie.
  10. can't tell if serious.... I'm all for selling high on Happ too.
  11. What do people think about Woodman? 22 and striking out over 30% of the time in A ball last year. I've never seen him, but the stats suggest he's a dud.
  12. How on earth is Mat Latos only 29.....
  13. One normally would say "the rules" in response to your question; however, seeing as MLB reviewed and concluded what Capps does is legal - I now have no f'ing idea.
  14. I find it amusing that he digs into the rubber...only to hop off and push a second time off the dirt. Is there any word on whether he's looking to add a 3rd hop to his delivery?
  15. How hard is it to hire a hot broad with a nice rack to ask athletes stupid questions and then stand there and listen to stupid answers...
  16. Are you pushing for a divorce?
  17. This is pretty awesome. I'm excited to see how it works out.
  18. Perhaps not as classic as you may think. Christ does Bull Durham ever amp up my baseball fever. To be honest, they've been playing Fever Pitch regularly on TV lately and I can't help but watch it every time it's on. I'll be down for a couple of Spring Training games now in like 3 weeks. I can hardly sit still!!!
  19. Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, hard-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet BJ's that last three days.
  20. I love the comment from Alvin J Trump "Missourians scream with joy as they learn there will be one less Hispanic in Busch Stadium this year"
  21. Christ - so did I until I read your post.
  22. The NFL seems to deal with these types of players well enough for me...
  23. Well focus on my NFL example if it bothers you that much... Hitting is (was?) part of hockey. It's a legal move if performed correctly. If a clean hit is thrown, it's an exciting, potentially game changing moment. I was trying to find similarities in other sports. the NFL example is a no doubter, I thought the NBA example was solid - but the MLB one is a stretch (I'll give you that). In Hockey these days after every big hit the gloves are flying off and the "hitter" is attacked before anyone knows if it was clean or not. Fighting someone after they do something that's within the rules of the game seems incredibly stupid. Hockey (and Lacrosse?) seem to be the only sports were that kind of action is accepted.
  24. Fights seemingly break out after every hit these days - clean or not. It's sad. Could you imagine if a fight broke out in the NBA after every huge block, or after a big hit in the NFL or after a big HR in MLB? It would look ridiculous.
