  2. Spanky - I think we're witnessing a miracle. We have the sh*ttiest FO and Manager in baseball. We have Donnie Baseball trying to sabotage the team from the bench and we have the crappiest farm system that hasn't produced a ML player in 25 years. We'd probably be on pace to break the ML single season win record if Andrew Friedman and Tito were in charge. MLB would probably just skip the playoffs and hand us the title to save other teams the embarrassment. I appreciate that people are getting up tight during some recent struggles - it makes them feel better to lay blame to someone and they feel smart if they are the ones to identify who should be blamed. They fail to appreciate that there's a possibility they themselves are actually wrong, or that there might be other information they aren't privy to that might justify decisions. I think it's really sad they can't just enjoy the season and the great team we have. Will we win the AL East? Will we win a playoff series, or 2, or the whole damn thing? I have no idea - but I'm going to enjoy watching it unfold.
  3. You've said this for the past 3 years man. We're 2nd in the AL and 4th in all of MLB and thus it seems evident that some of you won't be happy with any FO or Manager.
  4. We know - it's what you always do. Here's an idea, maybe try something different next time? Like maybe not lashing out like you're both the greatest GM and Manager in MLB history. Something to consider.
  5. Springer's emotions are so incredible. You have to love the way he plays the game.
  6. That couldn't have finished any better. He sticks with Barger v. the lefty in the 7th, expecting he'll get a shot against a righty late and he comes through with a massive hit. Then he gets Hoffman right back out there to redeem himself and he delivers. Sometimes you need to put some faith and trust in your players. That's how you earn their respect and build a winning culture.
  7. Vlad needs protection 🙄. But to be fair, Bo's been great in the 4 hole. They are creatures of habit.
  8. Learn to fix the size then. It's more obnoxious than your comments.
  9. Man - at least throw a strike!
  10. I can't wait for there to be 4 straight months of moaning about the bullpen and calling for the entire organization to be fired when we get knocked out of the playoffs. It's going to be super fun.
  11. FFS - can you stop spamming the same massive image in multiple threads please? We are all well aware.
  12. So you can't name one manager in ML history who's implemented what you're suggesting. Got it. What a breakthrough idea you've presented. MLB teams should be lining up to hire a brilliant mind like yours. Could they try someone else at closer to see how it goes? Sure - but just say that. Try this "Hoffman's struggling as of late, perhaps we should try someone else in that role for a few weeks to let Hoffman get his head/mechanics straight. If he ends up getting Wally Pipped by this replacement, then so be it. Maybe that end up working out better for the team"
  13. Look at the AAA walk rates over the past 2 years. Ever pitcher who moves up to AAA immediately walks 7+ per inning. It's our coaching strategy. They've clearly just instructed all pitchers to stop throwing strikes. You can't get hit hard if you don't throw strikes! It's 4D chess guys. You don't have to look very far to see we have a bullpen full of nasty, yet volatile arms. Remember when everyone complained we didn't have swing and miss bullpen arms and high K rates? The front office actually listened to you! That's no longer an issue, but it comes with it's own pitfalls (which you ought to have known). There are always going to be ups and downs throughout a season. We're better to have this "down" swing right now and not in October.
  14. Too much swing and miss probably?
  15. Jays are 455-386 (.541) since 2020 - the best stretch we've had in 30 years and even the slightly more intelligent Jays fans can't go a month or 2 without suggesting the FO and Manager are complete garbage that should be fired immediately. Every single move and decision is criticized like fans have never followed a baseball team in their lives - with fans acting like they are 1000% smarter than everyone in the organization. This is a prime example of how stupid our society is and why we have so many issues within it.
  16. And who'd you want at the deadline? Hensley? Jax? Doval?
  17. Can you name one ML manager who you've seen immediately start warming up a bullpen arm every time he brings his closer into the game?
  18. Absolutely! If we lose another game this season, Atkins and Schneider should be fired immediately. This is unacceptable.
  19. Apparently not. Several have proven they 100% fault Atkins.
