    OK - that's probably true. But let's not forget their recent success... 2018: 97-65 2019: 97-65 2020: 36-24 2021: 86-76 Yeah they sucked last year and do again this year, but I don't think it's fair at all to assign any level of blame on Billy Beane. You can't give the GM $13.62 a year to spend on players an expect him to crank out 90+ win seasons every year. The guy has put a 90+ win team on the field in 10 of the past 24 years (and was on pace for another in the shortened 2020). Billy Beane changed the game of baseball and simply delayed the inevitably relocation of the Oakland A's for the last quarter century.

    I think the word you're looking for is Dom or Master... He'll probably just continue his efforts as an online presence who teaches pitching. Maybe latch onto Driveline or something similar and become and instructor.

    Sounds more plausible they were picking up on what Belt was doing at 1st baseball on different pitches.

    That seems plausible. I was a 1st baseman and I definitely changed my positioning slightly based on what pitch was called. But it was the NDBL, so nobody picked up on that s***.

    If they were relaying pitches to Judge - why wouldn't they do that with other batters? Is it they just don't want to give it away, so they gave it to the guy who can do the most damage? Doesn't add up to me.

    We should pick him up. He's probably an upgrade over Manoah at this point!

    This seems really ironic given that almost everyone wants to compare Moreno to Realmuto like you have to be this athletic freak to be a great defensive catcher. Meanwhile, our very own oompa loompa is right there with Realmuto in terms of blocking.

    He's pitched one game this year with an xFIP < 5. He's walking WAY to many and it's been some smoke and mirror success IMO with a ton of luck with his BABIP.

    Of for sure - the health is never guaranteed. But he's a f***ing stud when healthy, knows how to pitch in the AL East and only required a 2 year commitment. Seemed like a no-brainer to me.

    Reynolds can't play CF (or can't play CF much longer) and the Jays still needed that long term solution in CF (I expect Varsho to take over full time next year when KK leaves). 5 years of Varsho is also going to cost a s*** ton less than Reynolds (+ no guarantee he signs and extension with us). So regardless of the early season results - I MUCH prefer the Varsho deal still.

    Pretty sad that this guy is "lucky" he left his house that night and was with someone who can vouche for him. Imagine spending the night at home playing video games and then having your life ruined because someone made up lies that you were at the party and raped them. This world is f***ed.
