    I hope LeCava gets it. Hes the head of our farm system I believe? I think a more analytic approach to the player development would be beneficial rather then trying to foster those toolsy types.

    I didn't think we would trade Lawrie or Reyes either (for different reasons) yet we managed to.

    It makes more sense to me to spend $200 million on a bat in his prime years and trade the expiring Bautista for an arm or two with less term. With Stroman back and a better overall team from day 1, we should have no problem contending again with an average pitching staff with elite bats and gloves. I would try and move Bautista for a Wheeler like arm plus a pen arm (assuming they lose Cespedes) and spend the remaining budget on retaining/adding Lowe like arms and possibly a back end starter.

    I don't know why anyone would listen to Calrip, who cares what he thinks? I am enjoying a very good baseball team that looks setup to provide playoff baseball for the foreseeable future and I am to busy enjoying the run to care what others think.

    I am willing to bet that he needs to get it cleaned up with surgery but its not something he was going to do during the season because its not "serious". I hope he is able to get that done and come back 100%

    I love it. Gibby isn't f***ing around in our biggest series of the year going with defense and keeping Colabello and Navarro glued to the bench.

    I believe that as the old timers die off and the newer generation writers vote, you will see far more players voted in based on real accomplishment rather than Wins, HR's and RBI's With that said, its a cluster f*** to pick who will get in but rather who should get in.
