  1. I could see Schultz or Tepera I guess. It'd be nice to see who those guys are at the MLB level first. More than a SSS.
  2. What's Gardenhire doing these days, collecting a pay cheque at home? I like him as manager.
  3. I fed him a line years ago that the 'Riders were close to signing Jeff Garcia as QB and he posted it on an official sports site like it was news. Golden, Jerry, golden!
  4. I think, don't you have a friend or mom you can ask?
  5. I dunno. He wanted to I am sure. But he promised Navarro a starting job in a trade. Maybe AZ couldn't promise that. Anyway, this f*** of a season will end and it becomes moot. Romero, Navarro, Izturis, MB and Dickey off the payroll.
  6. Sweet Jesus, http://bluejaysaggr.com/ is pretty damn good.
  7. Deadpool, you're right.
  8. Joe Bautista returns to the outfield: http://www.tsn.ca/talent/bautista-set-to-return-to-jays-outfield-1.297317 http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/big-test-looming-for-jose-bautista-blue-jays/
  9. I thought it might be an idea to start a thread that only contains links to Blue Jays articles in a thread. I spend a few minutes every day combing several websites in search of these sorts of articles so I thought it might be an idea have a centralized location for them. Just links, though. Can we save commentary for other threads? I'll start: Bob Elliot: Blue Jays are a Mess http://www.torontosun.com/2015/06/01/elliott-blue-jays-are-a-mess
  10. Was he a legit 4-tool guy? I remember his glove and arm being above average. Quick as hell on the bases and fantastic contact hitter with great average. I think he had some pop for a few years, too. Maybe those were his cocaine years. I'll take a look at his stats on Fangraphs. It's always kind of cool to check out WAR, etc., on players I used to love, and before WAR became a thing.
  11. I remember reading that he had the longest fingers ever recorded by a pitcher, which allowed him to be more effective of course. And he pitched for some pretty awful teams and still had success. Yeah, I'd take him over MB for sure. MB, solid but not spectacular.
  12. Saves him from being DFAed I guess.
  13. Holy s***. I'll bet he regrets that. There's no way he meant that the way it sounds. But man, it sounds horrible.
  14. Oh right, that. I forgot about that.
  15. I love the Fangraphs.com But me in the very solid career but not HoF list. Tim Raines should be in the hall, however. Travesty.
  16. I really had given up on Sanchez for the season, but two solid starts has me on the fence. It's embarrassing he's out best starter right now. Ouch. What a year.
  17. If the Jays are this craptastic by this time next month, I think it's time for a fire sale. I wouldn't can AA. He could easily prove to be a fire sale ninja. Gibbons? Who cares. It's not like Joe Madden himself could take this lump of AAAA fecal matter to the WS.
  18. I get what you're saying, and I know there is some homerism, but sometimes Davidi laces the Jays situation pretty harshly. And Zaunie is always a contrarian. So, there is some impartiality (is that a word? It sounds correct) out there in the Sportsnet world.
  19. Wow, it's amazing how much money they will save in 2016. Has anyone done the numbers? And at this point, I expect the Dickey option NOT to be picked up, barring a stellar rest of season.
  20. If the Jays went fire sale, could they get enough young, controllable players and farm prospects to build a great team in 2-3 years?
  21. I hear you about almost everything. But man, I'm old (46) and have been a Jays fan forever. There was nothing more painful than that 2013 season. This season isn't pleasant, but that year was historically painful. I almost wanted to switch my allegiance to the Orioles just to be done with the pain. Oh, about Pillar. I really like him as a 4th outfielder. But no more than that. I think way more highly of him now than I did after last season, that's for sure. The Gose/Travis trade is looking win/win right now. Kind of a nice surprise.
