    I would eat all his salary if we get a ton of extras. Prospects or whatever. I would eat full salary for Price+Benintendi for example. We'd have to give up 1-2 prospects, but whatever. Benintendi really, really intrigues me. He and Gurriel Jr., Grichuk and Hernandez in the OF would be pretty okay. I am just spitballing. Don't #hate

    It's a good take. It shows we're going to spend to win, we will take risks, and that we *want* to win and not just make a profit for Rogers. And that is fair, 2.5 years of effective pitching. Given his injuries. But that 2.5 years will be glorious. I know a lot of you hate "Shatkins", but I continue to respect and appreciate the way they are building this team. And I hope Shapiro/Atkins are extended.

    What I love about pitchers who are effective without throwing 100 mph is that they seem to age well.

    I am so pumped re: this signing! I didn't think the Jays had a prayer. Just reading some interviews and articles, it sounds like the Jays may still take a run at Price. I don't want to help the Red Sox on any level, but if we can grab him, and a great prospect (and of course, cash) I may do it. Dunno. It'd be tough.
