I don't know how the Raptors don't get swept with Lowry playing like that.

Its not just the shot, his elbow has made him cautious and ineffective on drives too and he's avoiding contact which is unlike him. You can't contribute on offence if you're not a shooting threat or a threat on dribble penetration.

Its crazy that the Raptors are up 2 today and have a won a series playing 4 v 5 on offence
  4. haha, that is unbelievably lucky
  5. Wow, can we really be this lucky?
  6. Haha, dumbass Moreland. He would have been safe standing uo
  7. Gibby needs to relegate Storen to blowouts until he finds his velocity, he looks horrificly bad right now.
  8. this link works for everyone, even if you didn't get it in an email. If not, anyone who's ever used their "free game of the day" should get the promotional offer https://web-secure.mlb.com/enterworkflow.do?flowId=commerce.cart.noUpfrontRegisPurchase&campaignCode=MLBTV_ARDISCOUNT_CMPGN&voucherCode=MLBTV_ARDISCOUNT_YRVOCHR&keepWfParams=true&c_id=mlb&sku=1001107599999910221601000&partnerId=ed-10250897-892447563
  9. I went ahead and compiled his minor league splits. They'll also be useful for future discussions. Against LHP (450 PA's) .281/.361/.413, 12% BB, 19% K & .132 ISO Against RHP (1202 PA's) .287/.377/.416, 12% BB, 18% K & .129 ISO note - these numbers don't include HBP or SF because the minor league stats pages don't list them individually. Those are pretty identical numbers, Pompey looks to be the rare switch hitter who doesn't have a "natural" side.
  10. i don't think there was a statistical difference. In the small sample size in the majors, he actually has a much better K to BB rate as a RHB although a higher iso as a LHB.
  11. This isn't true at all. Infact its the Jays ratings that are helping cover up some of the losses Rogers is taking from the NHL ratings being so poor. If anyone wants to see the Jays draw high ratings its those Rogers executives at the media division
  12. He shouldn't have let Chavez face Coghlan to begin with. ROOGY only right now
  13. he shouldn't be facing lefties, his stuff is garbage against them for the same reason it works so well against RHB
  14. I know we have a 4 run lead but i'd rather burn another reliever than use Chavez against lefty
  15. If you use them properly yeah the Jays have the makings of a top 5 bullpen. Chavez should be a high leverage ROOGY and Floyd looks like a 7th inning guy.
  16. Jesse Chavez has so far faced 13 RHB, struck out 7 and gave up 1 single and nothing else. His stuff doesn't work against lefties but he's borderline unhittable if you're RHB, as good as any of the elite right handed relievers in baseball.
  17. Hutch shouldn't be facing these tough lefties in the 6th no matter what his pitch count is
  18. He's hardly dealing and his performance tends to fall of the cliff 2nd and 3rd time through the lineup.
  19. thanks, forgot that. I guess Biagini or Girodo, just not Vendite. Even with a 5 run lead i don't want to risk Hutchison in the 6th inning, he can make things ugly real fast.
  20. Along with an inability to pitch with runners on, Hutch is also below average at facing guys 2nd and 3rd time through a lineup. Everything about him screams bullpen and he'd be pretty damn good at imo, back end relief ace material
  21. Carrera had 5 homeruns before that in 270 career games
  22. Hutchison would be a pretty good back end reliever, maybe he and Osuna can switch spots next year
  23. He's fine when he doesn't have runners on base, everything falls apart when someone gets on. He's one of the clear exceptions to DIPS in baseball
