    The manager sets the lineup card. It is ultimately the managers responsibiltiy to put the lineup out there that he feels can win the game. The best lineup. If the General Manager is able to make the manager the play certain players, then that is a weakness in the manager, one that he ought to be held responsible for. Regardless of whether Gibby wants to DH Navarro or whether he is being forced to do so, Gibby is responsible for Navarro being in the lineup.

    when the Jays traded Doc, they got the Phillies top 2-3-4 Prospects. That would be Hoffman, Sanchez, and Pompey. I think that there is a potentiol deal at Boyd, Hoffman, and Pompey. Given how bad Chase Utley has been, I can see the Phillies asking for Devon Travis. How would people here feel about Hamels (Phillies Eat money) + Papelbon for Travis, Sanchez, Hoffman and Pompey. That is probably what we are looking at.

    Money is useless because Free Agents dont want to come here (With the exception of Martin who is Canadian to begin with) You will have to go 10 years back the last time this team signed a significant FA

    Umpires should be the most likely to fix MLB games. They have the most control over both times, the least pay grade of every one on the field, and the greatest protection from being caught.
