  1. Honestly I am not a full supporter of sabermatics but Sanchez is very overrated on this forum. I'd take 3 months of Shark over Sanchez and Shark will probably have a higher WAR in those 3 months than Sanchez in 3 years
  2. Brah why are you so extremely bitter lately
  3. If the Jays do things right we will take this division by 5 games. That means acquiring pitching
  4. Unlikely that a top FA come to Toronton
  5. If the mets were up for it how many people here would give Travis in a trade for Syndergaard
  6. So what other things do we have that Chicago might want
  7. Oakland isn't done yet They have played way better than their records indicate and are now marching towards .500. Don't think Beane will be giving up anytime soon
  8. Yep these are the ops Jays usually blpw
  9. Would you trade Boyd for him. Maybe that's the deal
  10. Good to see Yankees losing
  11. The couple of issues left are manageable Focus needs to be on acquiring pitching
  12. The most Doc ever won was 22 You have him confused with Barry zito who won 24 in 2002
  13. Not an employee on such a high level. They are usually judged on single metrics like revenue generation or overall production
  14. So that means that the GM has not been successful in achieving his objective for 6 years Would you keep an employee that has underachieved six years in a row
  15. If. If. Team hasn't played a meaningful game during his 6 year tenure
  16. Chacin had one year. Estrada has had a season where he was worth 2.6 WAR Better comparison might be Marcum
  17. I'd do Norris Boyd and Castro for Cueto and Chapman
  18. He distinctly said the best comparison is to Chacin
  19. Pillar >>>>>>> Trout
  20. It's not a valid comparison. Estrada has pitched over 600lp innings at the mlb level as a useful pitcher. And there is a difference between average and replacement level. Most averages are skewed because of the elite performers
  21. Hurl you can't seriously be considering Chacin to Estrada. Estrada has had limited success in the majors for years now and Chacin was a one hit wonder mainlty due to his deceptive delivery
  22. Not to mention the fact that in 3 of those cases (Reyes, Burly, and Dickey) Jays paid hefty salaries as well. Virtually the same amount that they would have gotten the player at Free Agency. I understand that Reyes or Burly might not select to come to Toronto as free agents, however that meant that all of the players acquired were coming of new contracts where they were already over paid. So we traded young prospects for Overpaid veterans.
