Its an even worse call to use Hendriks knowing that you have a rookie on the mound next, so if Boyd somehow can only go 2 innings, and get blown out this offense could fight back. Every important reliever inning could count tomorrow. Of all the choices, including having Ras pitch 2 innings he has to go use up Hendriks for no reason at all. Dont you guys get it, Gibby doesn't think ahead. -

Problem with fIP is that all batted balls are treated the same way. so a line drive and weak grounder have the same impact For me this is a fatal mistake in the stat.
