  1. Do you really think he is thinking about 6-7 years from now?
  2. How do you think Osuna will feel about making a minor league salary for 4.5 months. How would you feel if after a successful mlb season I told you, hey Thanos great season hope you enjoyed all the perks and thrills of being a major league ball player. Oh yeah your gonna be in AAA next season making peanuts and no one will see you back home. Your getting demoted just cause. Lol. Things don't work like that. Clubs owe something to their players too. It's not about just being a paper GM. People have lives they have established they put down roots. Do you know how hard it is for a GM to just demore a player overall? When a player is at the MLB level they make mlb dollars when they go down they make peanuts. They have wives gfs kids Osuna worked his butt off last year and stepped in when this team needed him.
  3. Why in the world would you put proven mlb pitchers in the minors for most of the season
  4. Sanchez is a reliever I think almost everyone has mentioned that Hendrik's trade was a mistake especially after the happ signing Right now they are two relievers short. Assuming Chavez starts in the pen you have Osuna Cecil Sanchez Loup Chavez That leaves 2 holes. Lots of people assuming Delabar is in, but not so sure. With Bullpens though you never know Elite guys turn into bums overnight. I think I've deliberation has put this team in a tough position. Probably two AAA guys will round up the pen.
  5. The Dodgers have their hands full with club house cancers its possible they just didn't want another one.
  6. Yanks are banking on a lot of maybes and I think they are a .500 team. I also don't think much of the Sox. I think that if everything goes right for the two they can be a 90 win team.
  7. Disappointing stuff. Yanks and Redsox have indeed improved over the off season we haven't
  8. The bullpen was never a problem for the Yanks.
  9. Yankees and Redsox have improved albiet not significantly. We really need to add more sure pieces
  10. I have a feeling this will go bad for the Yankees somehow. Maybe too many guys expected to be in key situations With Kimbrel coming in Jays won't be coming back on very many games in the AL East. We really need to get an impact back end reliever ourselves
  11. There is so much subjective bias on this board that it is absolutely astounding. The article is there and cites actual studies. Either post contradictory studies that show legalization of marijuana ( not medicinal) does not increase usage in children or accept it. The truth is that the vast majority of the population does not use marijuana right now. It might be illegally sold at places but the vast majority does not break the law. This includes teenagers and children who either can't get their hands on it or don't consider it in their recreational habits. When marijuana is legalized it will be as easy to access as alcohol plus it will no longer be seen as illegal or taboo. This will.increase usafe drastivally The fact is that any drug that substantially alters the perception of a person should not be enabled by the government. That's my viewpoint on all of alcohol weed Tabacco caffiene narcotics
  12. http://denver.cbslocal.com/2015/09/20/smart-colorado-hearing-from-hundreds-hundreds-of-parents-about-pot-use/
  13. 38% increase in hospital visits year over year. I guess people who use in private wouldn't go to an hospital from an overdose Significant increase in traffic accidents due to intoxication from marijuana Colorado's teen marijuana usage is 50% higher than natinal average. These are not small sample sizes either. Oh yeah the whole state smells like weed.
  14. Colorado also leads all 50 states in marijuana usage in children under 12 After all it is legal. Marijuana has also shown to impact brain development in young children I wonder how the parents here feel about that.
  15. So what exactly is the priority for Shapiro then? Why was he hired? Revenue and profits from the Jays highly correlate to on field success and he hasn't exactly lit it up from that perspective Happ Estrada and Chavez are great and all but I reckon we are at least an ace and a shut down reliever from any serious contention
  16. ^ all of alcohol, smoking and weed are bad for you
  17. Lol actually it is addictive in exactly the same way. Both psychologically and physiologically While fewer % of users will become dependant on marijuana than Tabacco, the rate of marijuana addiction is actually greater than alcohol. 2-4% of social users will develop Alcohol addiction while 9% of users will develop cannabis addiction. Of course rates are higher for nicotine but they are all addictive in the same way
  18. Studies from Denver Colorado has shown that pot usage has more than doubled in the year subsequent to legalization
  19. Actually that's not true. Pot is worse than Tabacco in that it affects the activity in the frontal lobe. Tabacco doesn't Pot changes your perception of events drastically , changes social inhibitions, affects memory pathways in the hypothalamus, and impacts thinking and feeling. You are not the same person you are on pot or alcohol. Tabacco is different. It is an stimulant and nothing more.
  20. 90% of the fanbase had annointed Snider as the second coming.
  21. Ben Revere for Luke Hochevor
  22. LF Revere 3B Donaldson RF Bautista DH Encarnacion 1B Smoak SS Tulowitski C Martin CF Pillar 2B Goins This will be the lineup opening day. Book it.
  23. I think that number has some substance when you consider mlb network deal revenue which I think is at least $50-60 Mil combined with the merchandise and the licensing revenue. Of course Rogers won't make as much profit as the would with a better fx
  24. I'd do it but I'm so busy these days
  25. I don't value Chavez much. I don't see him as much of a contributor. Hendrik's was far more useful and could have really taken a huge step forward as becoming an elite reliever this year. That trade deserves a lot of criticism especially after the Happ signing. Chavez had huge variances in his home and road splits. Opponents hitting almost .800 ops outside of Oakland. I don't think they make that deal after the Happ signing. Maybe they weren't sure if Happ will sign.
