    He really wasn't too bad in the post-season overall. I'd like to see him as part of a package to get traded. The point is, Shapiro is so much more of a baseball mind than Beeston ever was. If you think that's going to tear the franchise down instead of building it, you've got another thing coming. Avoiding the Phillies outcome is also very important.

    Yeah it definitely doesn't surprise me, this kid has no maturity whatsoever. I look forward to when his antics come forward in an inter-league game and he has to face the music at the plate.

    Was out tonight watching the game. What a terrible performance with RISP, that was just sad. On the other hand, it's really fun having control of an AB taken away twice in the 9th, just fantastic. And that "home run" in the 2nd, that was f***ing ridiculous. There were a lot of expletives dropped at the bar when that nonsense took place. Anyways, it's been a blast watching this team this year, particularly after the ASB. Here's to a productive offseason and going further next year. f*** the Yankees, f*** the Royals, f*** the Red Sox, f*** the Orioles the most, go Jays!

    Nevermind the fact that Bob Gibson's prime came in an era that strongly favoured pitchers (resulting in the lowering of the mound and shrinking of the strike zone after the 1968 season). Not that he wasn't a fantastic pitcher, but you can't just throw things like this out there without consideration of eras. Well no s*** they can't do much, but very few pitchers can do this all or even most of the time, even the really great ones.
