    This is my worst fear, although I think AA and Shapiro (particularly the latter with some of his more modern evaluation of talent/etc.) should be able to do things to help us avoid such a situation.

    I didn't say we weren't blaming Dickey or even the offence (which looked to try to do too much as a result of Dickey's s***** start), but Gibbons made moves both yesterday and today to make the corresponding succeeding games needlessly more difficult to win.

    Man is that depressing. Have to also look at the fact that Boston is almost certainly going to be a lot better next year (or if the second half of their season was any indication).

    So many gas cans, so little time. Becoming really obvious that we need to beef up both our bullpen and starting rotation in the offseason. There has to at least be some depth available if guys go down.
