  1. Bichette is nothing like Baez. Baez didn't even have his first "good" hitting season until his 5th year in the league. Bichette is one of the most consistently above-average hitters in the entire league. 90th percentile or above xBA in each of the past 4 seasons. He's in the 98th percentile this season. It's truly elite bat to ball skills.
  2. The Orioles are just a next-level organization. INCREDIBLE signing.
  3. Roden was also 2 for 2 in the last game that got cancelled due to a rain out, so he completely lost out on those hits. He is crushing right now.
  4. There are no more pinch runners my guy. Were you going to sub him out for Kirk LOL?
  5. No, he's really not you dummy. LOL.
  6. Miguel Hiraldo has been on an absolute tear. Playing himself back into intrigue (if not just trade fodder) 3 for 5 with 2 HR's (Grand Slam) tonight. Also made an impressive play at 2B. Roden: 2 for 3, HR, 2 BB Jimenez: 2 for 4, BB
  7. Literally came to post this. Dead-center fastball and the CF barely had to move.
  8. Is he now? It must be very frustrating for him to have to play on one of the Top 7-8 teams in the league. Is he going to demand a trade to a Top 3-5 team? How often do "star players" ask for trades off of clearly competing teams LOL? If Gausman is going to ask for a trade, does that mean that it's going to be open season for the under-.500 Padres and their stable of superstars? Surely under the same logic I expect Soto, Tatis, etc, etc. to demand trades this offseason? Talk about melodrama. There are star players who play for teams much worse than the Blue Jays whom I've never heard a peep out of.
  9. No BABIP magic today clearly.
  10. You are SO cute! You going to spend another full day bumping up old posts from years ago again? How mad were you that day? You have the self-awareness of an autist.
  11. Jansen is only good for getting plunked with the ball.
  12. 0 for 4 since this post LOL.
  13. To bat against LHP LOL? And do what? Strike out on 3 pitches?
  14. f***ing BARFSHO. We should have glued this IDIOT to the bench like all the geniuses suggested!
  15. Agreed! Not "wise" for a team that isn't hitting to expectation to release the worst hitter in the league! Arghhhh so MAD!
  16. Hey man, thanks for chiming in! There was literally nothing 'irritated' about my post. I was shocked at suggestion that a guy who over the past three seasons has posted a 74 wRC+ is a "better bat" than a guy who over that same timeframe has posted a 96 wRC+. It's a really eye-opening suggestion, considering that Espinal was a league-average bat literally last season. You literally have to move backwards out of the 2020's to find the last time that DeJong was near league-average.
  17. This is insane. In what way is he a 'better bat' than Espinal? Espinal posted 99 and 115 wRC+ hitting the previous two seasons. You have to go all the way back to 2019 to find an even remotely similar hitting season from DeJong (101 wRC+). They are both horrible this season, but Espinal at least has recent performance to point to. DeJong has more "pop upside", but he is also posting 30%+ strikeout rates both this season and last season. His batting averages the past three seasons: .197, .157, .211. He is NOT a "better bat" than Espinal.
  18. Bonilla is now hitting .310/.412/.435. Hopefully he continues closing strong and breaks the recent streak of failed IFA signings. They went on a run of targeting catchers and slap-hitting shortstops that have all failed miserably.
  19. Well deserved.
  20. The Alan Roden show continues. 2 for 3 with a HR so far tonight. OPS up to .894.
  21. Damn that Biggio groundout had an expected BA of .640.
  22. Alan Roden in a double-header: 5 for 7, 2 2B, 1 K Now hitting .301 with an .844 OPS in AA
  23. TJ Brock looks much better than Fluharty. High 80's slider was overpowering. Saw him him 97 with the fastball.
  24. Alen Roden: absurdly high hand position in setup and upright stance. No idea he batted like that LOL. Weak flyout to RF. Jimenez looks pretty stout and hit one well to LF for a flyout. Tiedemann was pulled after 3.2 innings (pitch count) after a single and a walk. Fluharty came in and kind of stunk, so both of Tieddemann's runners scored. Tiedemann was 94/95 with the fastball before getting pulled and threw some nice offspeed pitches that missed some bats. Fluharty looks very meh to me; only 88-90 on the fastball according to the broadcast.
  25. If anyone wants to watch Tiedemann, the NH game is free on MLB.com right now: https://www.mlb.com/pipeline
