  1. LOL poor Charlie, we’ll have to look the other way for 7 days.
  2. For the record, usually only top 100 prospects in the A+/AA/AAA level, or cusp-top 100 prospects get into the futures game roster. It’s basically Minor League All Star game consolidating all upper level prospects. Nate being here is a given, but Alejandro Kirk getting some love is a positive sign.
  3. They now have fans in the stands (not stuffed animals) in CPBL
  4. For me, when the ad deliberately blocks the content your viewers came for and forces you to click the X buttons to close them on every page just to see it, something has gone wrong. This happens EVERY page. People happily pay Baseball America or The Athletic $50 a year for their quality and frequent content (Like me). Fangraphs just needs to rework their entire business model. I’m not saying they should offer their content for free, but maybe provide better value and content people would actually pay for.
  5. Jansen and Borucki reunited
  6. It’s a bit confusing, but from my understanding this is how it works: 60-player pool: Only these guys can play for you or traded this season. 40-man roster: Can be added to main roster (like typical year) 30/28/26 man roster: Actual players in the club house The 3 man taxi squad will come from the pool of 30 players that are not on the 30/28/26 man roster. Like a backup to the actual bench. But they need to be added to 40 man before you can put them in actual games, which works out when somebody on the 30-man gets put into covid list. So the 30 players not in your club house is your “Buffalo Team” and the taxi squad is the three Buffalo Team members that are on standby. You can kinda treat the entire Buffalo team as your inactive Taxi Squad, as they can be swapped around with no penalty unlike the 40-man roster.
  7. Comment on Groshans play
  8. I think 30 of the 60 guys that didn’t make the roster will wait in Buffalo. The three man taxi squad (one mandatory catcher) will follow the team and on road trips. I guess they’re a backup to the actual bench incase covid absences.
  9. I’d put Martin in the taxi squad with Kirk so they can follow the team around.
  10. I’m rooting for him too, yeah he’s been through a lot. We could really use a strong left power bat in the lineup. If his approach and discipline improves vs breaking balls the walk rate should recover a bit closer to his minor numbers. With his power he just needs to hit for average, but yeah he would mainly be DH/ backup 1B.
  11. Rowdy forcing the issue would be a great problem to have, he was below league average at 91 wRC+ last season. For him to jump to 115-120 would be a Major improvement. For starters, he’ll have to show a much better walk rate like he did in the minors, he was taken to the cleaners by breaking balls last year with a .224 WOBA vs breaking pitches.
  12. Seriously? I’m gonna try it. Edit: IT WORKS... sort of.
  13. I just don’t see where Rowdy will play, the DH spot is better utilize to rest players & giving guys a half day off. The power is intriguing though and we could use the lefty bat. IF he could play right field I’d stuff him there over Teoscar when Grichuk goes CF.
  14. Just in case anyone is wondering, Martin is on team blue hat.
