  1. Yesterday Bo was pitching on the mound, today he’s playing centerfield. What can’t he do?

  3. You get the free premium WiFi with higher level of SPG Marriott, I have tried both and you’re right there is a difference.
  4. I’m just surprised a room that cost $300-500 a night can’t even get their WIFI situation straight.
  5. It’s nice to see some young pitching depth for once, and not have to make calls for the lefty knuckleballer Ryan Feierabend (he’s now in the CPBL btw).
  6. Not bad at all for a team just 1 year removed from a bottom 5 record last season.
  7. I don’t see it stopping. It’s borderline annoying when watching the Braves at home, but their fans love it.
  8. Charlie: “Trent now has a spot. But Borucki is making a strong case for 5th starter.” And then when Roark goes down. Charlie: “Kay and Waguespack are making really, really strong cases for 5th starter.”
  9. There isn’t going to be an issue really, teams easily use 10+ different starters over the course of a normal season. Roark is what he is, while Thornton is not quite a finished product. They will both start, but I just commented because I do think Thronton could be a lights-out reliable BP arm and there’s value in that. We really have none of those aside for Ken Giles.
  10. I love Gurriel’s advanced metrics since last year. The 11.2% barrel rate, 90.2MPH EV (Top 109.6), .339 WOBA (.348 XWOBA) vs fastballs and an elite .383 WOBA vs breaking and .412 WOBA (way outperformed XWOBA) vs offspeed pitches suggest his improved plate approach has tapped into the plus bat-to-bat skills. There’s also plus raw power in that bat. He was crushing everything after we called him back up as a left fielder. At one point early last season he was on pace with Ketel Marte in metrics, that should speak volumes in itself. 124 wRC+ suggest we could be seeing a 4 WAR full season from Gurriel. 1.8 fWAR in 84 games for 2019 wasn’t far behind that. Gurriel is being very underrated and I don’t even think he’s peaked yet (AKA this isn’t his final form).
  11. Steering away from all these hypotheticals, the Future outlook makes more sense now: C: Danny Jansen, Reese McGuire 1B: Vladimir Guerrero jr 2B: Cavan Biggio SS: Bo Bichette 3B: CF: LF: Lourdes Gurriel jr RF: DH: Rowdy Tellez Farm system: (C / DH) Alejandro Kirk, Gabriel Moreno, Riley Adams, Philip Clarke (3B/CF) Austin Martin (3B/SS) Jordan Groshans, Orelvis Martinez, Kevin Smith (2B/SS) Miguel Hiraldo, Otto Lopez, Rikelvin De Castro, Estiven Machado, Manuel Beltre jr (OF) Dasan Brown, Chavez Young, Alberto Rodriguez (RF) Griffin Conine
  12. He would be effective as a high leverage guy I think. They’d milk him as a 5th starter until there’s no room, like when Pearson comes up.
  13. Griffin Conine has serious power. In Lansing: 22 HR and 43 XBH in 80 GP, .293 ISO, 169 wRC+ 94 avg exit velo (highest in the farm system) 112 max exit velo (highest in the farm system) He has left handed power to all fields and takes a fair amount of walks too. Could be a monster if his strikeout rate goes down closer to 25%. Projected Dunedin lineup 2021: Austin Martin Otto Lopez Jordan Groshans Griffin Conine Gabriel Moreno
