  1. Every time I see the Rangers they have a new catcher.
  2. I met Geddy at the second last home game last year.
  3. What would flipping them even achieve?
  4. I'm the bitterest guy during Dickey starts. Every time I see his frustrated body language on the mound I get irritated. He's not even awful, but I just can't stand his random complete losses of control often followed by a wild pitch. Not to mention all the full counts and jams where you have to just pray a ball lands in a glove because a huge K once in a while is just too much of a wish to come true. I mean I don't even hate the guy. He's just anti-entertainment.
  5. Between ALDS Game 5 2015, World Series Game 6 2011, and losing the division on the last day in 2012, Texas Rangers fans' memories must just be a row of compartments.
  6. Internet chatter has ruined me.
  7. The only other option is, who, Venditte? I like him more than Tepera, but maybe he's been pitching a lot lately and Tepera was fresh. Maybe Tepera had some good outings and they wanted to catch some lightning. With the Giants' lefty-heavy lineup, Tepera seems like an obvious fit for a one-series replacement while a guy is on leave. Gibby waited until pretty much the last minute to use him. I can't honestly say Gibby did anything wrong here.
  8. I'm not a Raptors fan and I understand the team is not playing top tier ball, but reading this thread I'd have no idea the team is literally one victory away from the Conference championships. Someone post just one positive thing ffs.
  9. I didn't realize Floyd had only thrown 22. I guess he probably could have had another inning in him. I don't necessarily think this is on Gibbons, though. Tepera would have eventually been needed if the offense continued to struggle. He'd eventually have been needed for a save even if they managed to put a run up. I guess one could argue that Floyd was better off facing the top of the order, but Tepera would eventually have had to come in. I honestly don't think this move was egregious. At worst, maybe slightly premature. Gibby was on his last option and would, at best, have very shortly needed to pull the trigger anyway. Plus if Tepera is as good against lefties as they claim his skillset to be, it's not unreasonable for him to face Belt, Span, Panik, etc. Arnold Leon coming out of nowhere vs. Steven Souza this is not, IMO.
  10. Only guy left was Estrada maybe. Stroman and Dickey (PH) both played and Happ and Sanchez pitched deep in the previous two games.
  11. I don't remember, but I looked it up. April 17th, game 2 of a DH in Minnesota. Jays up 5-3 in the bottom eighth. BP comes in: Delabar: 0.1 IP, 2 ER, 2 BB Santos: 0.0 IP, 3 ER, 3 BB Happ: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 3 BB I know there were lots of wild pitches in there but maybe nothing that contributed outside of the walks? Couldn't find the count. Anyway, Jays lost 9-5 on 8 8th inning walks.
  12. 2014 May @ Minnesota Twins. Sergio Santos and JA Happ team up for 14 walks and 30 wild pitches (or something), blowing the lead and eventually the game. Maybe the worst performance I've ever seen. I think it was game 2 of a double header?
  13. Totally. Game should have been done in the 10th but it wasn't god's will. Jays couldn't capitalize on the huge break, though. Actually neither could the Giants but Tepera had other ideas.
  14. He pitched at least two, IIRC. Tepera was all that was left. The only possible SP left might have been Estrada.
  15. You're right. It was quality from start to finish. Excellent, heavily competitive performances from elite players at the tops of their games.
  16. Special shout out to Ryan Goins who tried to stretch his first single of the month into a double and slid into an out. Also, JD and JB for not squaring up the guy who Goins, Saunders, and Pillar just squared up. And then of course the middle infield with their fourteen errors. How was it good? Errors all over the place and s*** hitting from both sides except for one inning. This wasn't a major league baseball game.
  17. Venditte? But seriously, Tepera didn't even want to let the Giants offense f*** that one up. HBP, wild pitch, 4-pitch bases loaded walk. Unreal. One of the worst games I've ever seen.
  18. Wow, and that's how it ends. This game was a bingo card of f***ing up everything possible.
  19. Is this the worst overall performance of the year, or has one been worse?
  20. Tulo took exception to Gibby defending him last night and will throw a whole game on his own for payback.
  21. Wow, this offense can't make anything happen.
  22. JD gonna cash in here. This guy is throwing meat.
  23. Not enough evidence. Goins, goddamn it.
  24. I'd honestly trade the whole Raptors season for a single Jays win. I don't even hate the Raptors either.
