  1. It's cool they got Dickerson too. There's a decent chance by the time he comes back (weeks? a month?) someone will be sidelined with something, so Dickerson slots right in. At worst, he's a fifth OF and then rosters expand in Sept.
  2. Cubs went up 7-0 in the 1st and now the go-ahead run is at the plate for the Brewers in the 2nd.
  3. Is it me or is this ump something like 99% on the ball? I think only a couple of low calls looked iffy a couple of innings ago, bit that's it. It's like he has his own strikezone graphic in his mind.
  4. Games #1 and 4 in the streak were miracle wins though. It does go both ways (though the BP has still chucked a few too many)
  5. Mayza pitches .1IP and gets a strikeout and groundout in the same AB. This home ump is doing a terrible job today.
  6. that run reached base on a groundball E6 on strike 5.
  7. Lol our #8 hitter tonight hit an effortless grand slam yesterday. Lineup is bananas.
  8. The Braves fans must be melting in rage. The Jays completely embarrassed them six straight times and in almost the exact same way each time.
  9. Was going to say that I don't care what happens as long as the green and yellow survives. (Maybe less violence and urine though)
  10. I appreciate when people appreciate the 2014 crew. That was a not-bad year, lost between awful results from the year before it and the amazing fun from the two after it.
  11. Undercurrent to this trade is the Phillies warning Freddie Freeman to back the f*** up.
  12. Not sure how it looked on TV but it honestly seemed like HR or flyout in person.
  13. Both plays were such near catches that I understand the hesitation in both instances. They were easy double ups waiting to happen. Kind of unfortunate. Except the Granderson send. I could tell he was dead the second it left Calhoun's hand.
  14. I shouldn't have attended live and stayed until 11. I want to claw my eye out.
  15. 4-4 roadtrip including a pit-stop double header in Cleveland? Eh, I'll take it.
  16. From the PPD announcement for this game back in April: I am so wise.
  17. The Twins lucked out by the rest of the AL being a pile of s***. WC2 usually needs like 87 wins to lock up a spot. I'm not sure they're a good example of not-tanking. Pretty sure they sold off the back end of their pen and rotation in anticipation of not competing too.
  18. Braves beating the Cubs 10-2, now down 12-10. Latest two runs were walked in. Nice reward for the Wrigley fans who stuck around in rain coats. Edit: two more come on a wild pitch + air mail into the outfield. 14-10 lmao
  19. Every game without JD that can be punted down the road while he recovers is a positive.
  20. The best possible choice of mod from the non-mods.
  21. Omg, even the f***ing rain can't keep Buck from playing with fire.
  22. Too bad those home runs didn't clank off the wall. The team would be 2-3 or 1-4 rather than 3-2, but at least there wouldn't be this reliance on the long ball.
  23. Getting on base = offence. Multi-run, go-ahead home runs don't come out of the blue. If Martin's HR was turned into a double by the Green Monster would you have the same attitude toward the team's approach?
  24. Is there some relevant Wire quote out there about never being able to escape Baltimore? O's bring back Tillman.
