  1. Good thing the Jays drew first blood with that run in the first. Set the tone, go home early.
  2. I think he was trying to fool them. Credit to Cobb for keeping his cool. Saunders almost had them. Not the best strat but hnnngggghh I guess there's a run.
  3. Wilner's wording is slightly ominous. Probably trying to get people in a knot so he can condescend on Twitter for the next four hours.
  4. Most teams have mediocre pitching staffs by definition. They struggle to deal with the O's relentless power. The O's amazing back-end bullpen maintains a huge number of leads too. The Jays would be a mile ahead of them if the lineup performed correctly and if 10-11 losses weren't hung on Cecil and Storen alone. The O's good features have picked up their bad parts well while the Jays' record seems to accurately reflect how they've performed (a month of s***, four of high quality play, and the last two weeks of s***).
  5. I was considering going to tomorrow's game, but after seeing this performance breaking my fingers might be preferable. Anyway, bedtime.
  6. England. Left last Friday. Just got back this evening. Totally jetlagged.
  7. That was the Loup outing everyone always imagines when whining about Loup except it's never happened before. Until tonight.
  8. Brutal. Glad I missed the last two weeks of this. This needs to turn around yesterday.
  9. Amazingly s*** luck for the Jays today. Then again, playing a competent baseball game reduces the smelly fart of bad luck when it hits. Close games suck.
  10. Saunders, JD, Smoak. JD to 3B, Saunders to LF, Melvin to CF, Pompey to RF.
  11. Saunders and Josh need to PH in the 9th. Turn the bottom of the order into the top and maybe get to Trav and Jose.
  12. Nothing is likely with two outs. Gifting the Rays two outs before the top of the order though...
  13. Who plays 3B now? I don't know who is on the team tbh.
  14. What the f*** is this offense? What a bunch of losers.
  15. Maybe that was bad execution, but if not that is some extremely poor strategy by Stroman-Martin. Three straight 0-2 counts but got none of those batters out.
  16. Smyly getting away with a lot so far. This is actually the first game I've seen since the last win in Baltimore two weeks ago.
  17. Glad I checked the score of this. It's 2am where I am. Fact: Jays were 76-57 while I was on Canadian soil this season. Fact: Jays have gone 3-7 since I've been gone. Fact: But I'm back tomorrow.
  18. They tried that and ended up in April. Now they're stuck there with no plutonium
  19. Anyone who genuinely believed this should lose his job even if it's not baseball related. Such an obvious fabricated narrative.
  20. Jays with a legit boo-calibre performance. What a bunch of losers.
  21. It's 1:30 where I am and I'm drunk and climbing into bed. I want to follow this game via the thread but I'm not sure I want to go blind. Need to catch a train in the morning too.
  22. Still on vacation but I check in to see the team suddenly in free fall? What the f*** is going on?
  23. I just looked into this and it seems Bluefield's season ends tonight, so Travis will be "called up" for tomorrow's game. Nothing changes at all, except Thole is eligible to continue playing for one more month. Just a favorably scheduled off-day given the circumstances.
