Yeah. It's not fun watching this team trip on its shoe laces like this. It's like seeing your team go up 6-0 by the 7th and watching the lead evaporate to 6-6 by the 9th, and then having someone say "hey, I thought you wanted the team to be competing -- this should be a great ballgame by your standards!"
Meaningful September games in this context isn't so much a team being competitive (like, say, the Tigers or Mariners who never truly got their cars started but have survived this far) as much as it is watching a solid body of work come undone.
