    Have them all ready. Happ and Sanchez will be starting the first two ALDS games anyway, should the team get there. Any starter used in the WC would be on regular rest for G3 in Toronto. I think this logic still holds up for a tiebreaker game too.

    Not being fun was probably a stretch, but playoff sports are something other than fun. Fun is involved but if a heartbreaking loss is on the table I think there are many other things going on along with the fun.

    This is my answer to people who try to show people up by pointing out "don't you want competitive baseball in September?" Being in a good position and then losing 16 games in September to let everyone in the door is not a competitive September. It's a competitive May-August and a September spent throwing buckets of water at a burning house. As for fun, this isn't fun. Baseball is best on leisurely spring and summer days. Cold weather baseball with enormous stakes is really the opposite of that. But I've allowed myself to become invested, so.
