Fair enough, but that's as much on the other four organizations as on them. For some reason, I don't see TB making it policy to nix major trades against direct competitors, but I could be wrong.

Hard to believe the Giants used a 10-16 month to lose their division lead as of July 1. They even started the month 6-1, too. Ouch. At least the Jays dont have a Dodgers-calibre team to contend with.

TB are too intelligent to avoid division deals. If the Jays offer a king's ransom, take the deal. While Toronto benefits for the one and a half years you're rebuilding anyway, you reap the benefits of literally having their farm two or three years later.
