  1. Holy s*** Reyes. And now McGowan's forgotten how to pitch.
  2. It'll happen. Melky's due one more AB in the bottom of the inning though.
  3. Nice job Colby. That's probably a GS in Yankee Stadium, no?
  4. I literally got up to get a bowl of strawberries and now the Jays are up again. Buehrle being Beuhrle.
  5. Well that sucked. Reyes may as well have tried for second instead of stopping. Really, why stop and turn?
  6. Nice DP; Reyes makes up for the bad throw with an athletic play. No damage done.
  7. If Gibby is going on the logic that a righty might have a better shot then a lefty tonight, why not Tolleson over Kawasaki?
  8. Not that it means anything, but I got a chuckle that he said "Yankees or Red Sox" instead of "Yankees or Orioles". No respect for the birds!
  9. 22 earned in 36 innings for Belisario after handing that one to the Orioles.
  10. Yes, great trip! I almost want to subscribe to a month of MLB.tv when I get home just to watch the archive of this game.
  11. I'm in Dublin right now and its 4:30am. I gave up on checking updates around 1am in the second inning. I stumble to the washroom a half hour ago only to see a miracle of a comeback when I check the time on my phone. Wow. If anything, it'll be that much more relaxing of a flight back that I'll be on in 9 hours.
  12. I posted this in the bottom of the second. I am terrified now. Somebody call the police on somebody.
  13. By pitching staff, do you mean scrub spot starters? Our main guys are better than this; so is the bullpen.
  14. Does someone have a firstborn to offer up to the baseball gods or something? Before tomorrow's game, if you can, please.
  15. It's been a month and there are still 85+ games to play. Plus, worst case scenario is a. 5 game lead by tonight's end.
  16. These are the old testament baseball gods, my friend. We'll be lucky if the guys live to see the next series.
  17. That seems like a while ago at this point. These guys need to get back on the horse pronto.
  18. I'm away and haven't seen any games since game 1 @ BAL. Is this game really the umpshow I'm reading about on Twitter? Tuesday's game sounded bad too re: strike zone. Of course if the lineup can't consistently square up their swings like they haven't been since STL, the loss is more on them then the clearly biased umpiring.
  19. All that matters is the W, which is always a bonus while the team gets through a funk. Tough loss for the O's. They're the ones trying to close the gap and now only 2+ .500.
  20. Fair enough, I more or less agree. I don't think the implosions were isolated either. I make that point more as a credit to the offense, who, up until this week, have shown up with a vengeance nearly every game. However, I also agree that the O's are the scarier of the two direct competitors at the moment.
