Jays need to go out of the first half on a high note and play some competent ball against TB. The break gives the hurt guys 4 days to heal up more without the team having to play games. No more booted balls, no more baserunning errors, just play properly.
Agreed. They're the favourite by default of not being completely beat up.
But they're also mediocre, and mediocrity has a way of preventing success (see: previous Blue Jay teams). We're still about a month or so away from the stretch that will ultimately decide things. The Jays will hopefully be healthy then and should be ready for a run.
Ironically, Reyes being healthy has directly cost a few wins too!
Jokes aside, this team is still in it despite this brutal stretch and now the injuries. One run could be all it takes, seriously.
