  1. This is fake. She was from the European version and she won 32,000 pounds. Yes I researched it because I'm that guy.
  2. Sounds like if a player is worth being platooned vs everyday. Last 3 years maybe, but it depends on plate appearances. Need a large enough sample size.
  3. Honestly, I think many under value Johnson. He just doesn't get too many chances in the bigs as a first basemen but his 10 year AAA OPS of over .900 is something to give him more at bats with. His last stint in the bigs was in 2012 where he only played in 14 games (what were asking from him now) and he belted a 1.367 OPS during that time. He also walks more than he strikes out.
  4. Fair, however the point of the post was to get Francisco off the field so my simple minded suggestion was to call up Johnson for the bat and move Bautista over. I think that is a stronger infield than Bautista at 1st and Francisco at 3rd. You can still split Reimold's RF duties with the below: RHP/LHP C Navarro / Kratz 1B Johnson 2B Kawasaki SS Reyes 3B Bautista / Tolleson CF Rasmus / Mastro LF Melky RF Reimold / Bautista DH Francisco / Reimold
  5. I know he's not a right fielder, not ideal I guess but as a stopgap move until someone returns it's worth testing the waters. At this very moment his bat is worth the risk.
  6. It just seemed like a logical solution to the G-Snarls 3B fix to get Francisco off the field. Two 1st basemen go down and we put Bautista where he has never played, when instead it makes more sense to put him at a position he's logged a lot of time at and bring up Johnson to play 1st who can replace some of that lost pop. Also, there is less platooning in this scenario. You DH Kratz & Francisco for splits.
  7. Because Bautista won't do it or they wouldn't want to risk him there? Or that Johnson isn't going to get called up?
  8. As a stopgap, why not? He's logged more career 3B innings than Brett Lawrie and his .959 fielding % there is nearly the same as Brett's .962
  9. Dan Johnson to 1st, Bautista to 3rd.
  10. This is insane... don't get me wrong brutal by Reyes for jogging in and not diving in hard but what... the.. f***.
  11. At this point I don't want to miss a single Stroman start, glad it's an afternoon game and not a midnight burner.
  12. I hope Kratz gets hot quick and when a decision needs to be made, Thole is demoted. He sits on the bench so much his ass cheeks are soon going to be permanently engraved in our bench.
  13. 108 ERA - I know it was from his 1 game debut but that is amazing lol.
  14. He's batting .212 in his last 10, dropping his avg 12 points and being extremely frustrated along the way. I'd say you're in a funk when you repeatedly smash your bat in the dugout when you finally hit a line drive... right to the left fielder. He needs to let off some steam by smashing some bombs at the derby.
  15. Pretty sure he set the record for most consecutive starts without a win when he was a Jay, 27 games in a row dating back several years.
  16. Phillies AAA team just face palmed. The Phillies have agreed to a minor league deal with Jo-Jo Reyes, reports MLBTR’s Zach Links (via Twitter). The 29-year-old lefty has seen time in parts of five MLB seasons, the last of which came in 2011. He owns a 6.05 career ERA with 5.8 K/9 and 3.9 BB/9 through 334 2/3 innings, mostly as a starter. Reyes has been playing in Korea since the start of the 2013 season.
  17. If Jimenez has been catching Romero fine he could probably handle Dickey.
  18. Unless Colby really turns things around it's a safe bet they won't extend him which makes me think they'll offer Melky an extension so the outfield isn't in shambles. If you're willing to pass on Melky (at this point I don't think a QO would keep him around) and knowing Colby is gone are you comfortable with Gose/Pillar as our outfield options going forward if a trade/FA market is thin? Letting Melky walk and then trying to replace him seems redundant. What kind of LF are you hoping to replace him with?
  19. Maybe the derby will actually get him out of the funk a bit and feel good hitting some bombs.
